I finally got around to putting together a video of the our club campout we had in September. Much easier than I thought it was going to be. I didn't have a lot of real good footage, so the video isn't the greatest. I'll try to get some more footage of other rigs & have someone take some video of mine from outside the rig next time.

Enjoy!

I also ordered up some new nutserts for my tranny skid from Blaine to replace the one that stripped out & the others while I'm at it.

Finally received my parts for the revised skid plate. I really need to invest in my own plasma table.

First order of business was replacing a couple nutserts. One was stripped & the other had broken off. Whipped up this little tool to do the job. 1/2" star washers, 5/8" nut, 7/16" flat washer. Worked perfect on the first one, didn't work worth **** on the second. Nutsert kept spinning, so I just tacked the nutsert to the frame rail, then compressed it with the tool.

Then got to work fitting up the skid & welding. I am really happy with the way this one turned out! I might add a couple reinforcing fins down each side parallel with the frame rails, just need to look & see where I can fit them. Possibly between the exhaust & TC & there is plenty of room on the driver side. It is currently mounted with a new stock transmission mount. NVH was noticeably reduced. I'll research later, but I think it could be done with a lopro mount & no BL. As far as my welding, I had a couple beads that were down right gorgeous, upper left for example if you can see it, the rest were ok. Here she is all welded up. Thoughts? Comments? Constructive criticism?

Mounted. Looks like I have a TC leak I need to address.

I then repositioned my exhaust hanger & welded it. I think I am going to design a new adjustable hanger plate to help position the exhaust perfectly, then drill a couple holes & bolt to permanently lock in the height.

Nice dude! Run it.

I'll have to show you what I use to set frame nutserts. It's probably done around 20 of them with no problem.

OlllllllO

Thanks man!

Tacking the nutsert worked well, as soon as the star washer bites it's fine. Definitely like to see what you use. I still need to do the remaining 4.

Thanks Gents! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Next thing I need to address is the engine skid. It will sit in the little recessed area on the front of the skid so the bottom will be almost smooth with no edges to grab on to stuff.
