LOL! I guess we all need vendor accounts now!

Hoping to have the new skid on the jeep for the 14th to give it a good beating. Trying to get one on Travis' (Swiftjeep) first, then I'll try to get one made up for mine next week. Heading to Mission Impossible for an annual club campout! Some good rocks & waterfalls to give the new bumper a test too.

I have the new skid plate in hand, but have absolutely zero time to work on it probably until next Monday. My wife's in Oregon all week, so I'm Mr. Mom, cooking dinner, shuttling kids, homework, etc.. This ****s for the birds! The skid looks pretty slick though! Can't wait to mock it up! Forgot to snap some pics, sorry.

Also have everything to get the welder set up, cart, gas, wire, etc.,but again, no time to get it set up.

I ordered a bunch of different mounts for my GoPro & I'm going to try to put a lot of time into taking some video this trip. Future plans for a portable jib crane to take some really sweet shots, but that won't happen before this trip.

Thanks! Not sure yet. I have a ton going on this weekend & I need to make sure my wife has some time for stuff she wants to do. Our club works that event for 4WP.

Wheeled my junk this weekend! Was probably the best weekend of wheeling I have had. The jeep performed flawlessly. It still amazes me the things it can do. It was our annual 4 Wheels to Freedom club campout at Mission Impossible. On Saturday morning I guided an easy group around some trails back there, but unfortunately there are no "easy" trails back there. They were relatively easy trails, but were VERY tight. Dented the side of a guys nice FJ trying to squeeze past a tree. Ooops! Welcome to the club!

Saturday afternoons group we started running some of the usual MI trail system, but had some guys in our group that honestly had no business running those trails. No lockers & missing tow points. One guy slid over into the creek as soon as we started & had to winch him back up, had trouble with almost every obstacle & the blew a bead & had to borrow my spare. Another guy kept vapor locking. We pushed him aside & kept going. I had the FJ guy riding shotgun with me & I pretty sure he had to change his shorts when we got back to camp. When we got to the top of bypass hill, he said, "I think I need to go poop."

Sunday's run was epic! I ran some new stuff I've never been on then tackled "the rock in the creek" trail. It's basically a huge rock that's right in the middle of the creek, above it is a nice waterfall & the some large rocks on a sharp 90 that approaches the rock. On the sharp 90 I flopped almost all the way over, but was resting on my rock slider. The way I & my wheels were positioned allowed me to drive out of it with an almost fully tipped over rig. Was pretty *****in'!

I took a crap load of gopro video & Randy (IndyRubi) road with me Sunday & took a bunch himself. It'll take me a while to process it all. Anyway, on to a few pics.

A cool shot that highlights the Jeepforum & IndyORV love.

The next few are from a small creek trail we call the little Rubicon. This the short tough section at the top, the rest is pretty easy.

This was a cool short trail. Hard rock faces on each side. Unless you wanted body damage you had to ride the wall like I did. Had my tire a few feet off the ground as well, Fun stuff.

Agreed! Those two are my favorites from what I've seen so far. There were others taking pics, so I hope they post them soon. I'm really looking for a front on shot of the flop. I hope someone has one. Be interesting to see exactly how far I was over.

Yeah I missed out on the rock. If I didn't head back to camp I would have had video of that one.

I fabbed up an aluminum version of the bumper I made. Turned out pretty kick ***! Had it laser cut so all the lines are crisp & exact instead of my jig saw cut profile! Debating if I should paint it or just hit it with a orbital sander & leave it raw & just clear coat it. I think the black would blend a little better with where the jeep is right now. If I had full raw aluminum armor, I think raw would look sweet. However, when I get to that point I think I'm leaning towards color matching everything to the factory paint anyway.

Thanks! It weighs about 20 lbs. I can easily carry two of them in one hand with the built in carry handle.
