Last week was hectic for us, beginning with Off-Road Expo, then two separate photo shoots out at the Lakebed, then capping it off with Victor Valley 4 Wheelers' Fun In The Desert last weekend, of course once again in Johnson Valley. We had put together a special Poison Spyder run on Clawhammer for the event, which Larry and Cheri led in Daddy Longlegs. Here are a couple shots from that run....

Not far into the trail, Larry handed over driving duties to Cheri, so he could help with spotting everyone through. Cheri did a great job!

We got through the run so quick, with such a big group, we had time to throw in Fissure Mountain before heading back to the lakebed....

See some video from the ClawHammer run in this week's episode of Spyder News:

Hey it was cheap, and royalty-free! I'd rather use some Five Finger Death Punch or Machine Head but YouTube would slap it with ads and disable it on mobile. So blehh anime rock it is

Here's a clip with just video of Larry climbing Back Door, for those who would like to see it without wading through our entire Spyder News episodes. These are from last Friday, after the photo shoot with Kevin Blumer. The plumbing to the ARB had been fixed so he had true 4 wheel drive this time, went up it twice with ease. Its in HD so go full screen!

Here's a few more Daddy Longlegs wheeling pix. These are from the Parker Desert Splash a couple weeks ago.

How does Larry like the handling and ride/crawl characteristics? Based on the pics, I can see he's putting it to good use

I've heard Larry say its the best handling Jeep he's ever owned, and he's owned some nice ones. He's on vacation this week but when he gets back hopefully he'll chime in here.

We have not. If we ever start building parts for XJ's, maybe we'll do one

Dusty I seem to remember that you guys were going to offer a cage similar to the one that was built for Larrys rig. Any idea if that is something that will be offered anytime soon?

Yes that is still our intention. But I do not have a date for its release. We've got a lot of irons in the fire.
