More kudos!! I love it. Excellent work. A Jeep after my heart that one is. I've been slowly militarising my Rubi also, but haven't gotten to the level of this yet. Thanks for the inspirational photos.

One question for you... there is a bit of debate on the Rubicon forum as to how you did the jerrycan mount. Is the tailgate still usable or not? Would you mind enlightening me?

Most of the hardware ( like the bow mounts & mirrors) I bought from www.4wd.com . They came painted gloss black, so I had to sand and mask them off to paint. to mount them, I just drilled into the stock window hinges, tapped them ( pretty thick material) and bolted them down. I fold them towards the hood when I'm offroad...

Yes, the tailgate opens with the jerry can mounted. It's pretty solid too, with minimal "jiggle" when full. The third brake light is mounted on the gate as well. The door handle is easy to pull, just behind the mount, & I can lock and unlock the gate from inside the jeep with a pull cable. Thanks for asking!

Any reason why you didn't put on the tall, skinny profile tires to complete the look??

Love the look though. Great job!

Awesome job! What are your plan for the interior, I vote for gutting it and putting in a metal dash!

Interesting. From the pics it is hard to tell and it all looks solid rather than usable. Very curious how you did this. What are the chances of some better pics showing this set up and fabrication?

Thanks for posting

Allready gutted the interior, except for the dash area. Eventually it will have a flat face dash of some sorts with a skinny 3 spoke wheel and round gauges. Right now I'm focusing on the exterior. Still need to mount the shovel & Ax. Plus multiple footmans loops, a sugar scoop antenna mount, a siren on the fender, and a silkscreen of an invasion star on the doors. The last major modification to the body are heavy duty rocker panels with front fender extensions welded on.
