Finished Top!

Here's the results... Hope you like!

Front view

Side view with door window zipped up.

Rear view

Here's the rear rolled up & secured.

Side view with doors removed. Eventually the dash will be reworked & the steering wheel replaced. Right now I'm out of money, so it'll be a while. Right now I'm just going to drive the hell out of it!

These were original 2001 jeep seats. Still just as comfortable, but have cut down the back, added extra padding to round it out, and rear pockets for my favorite magazines. Now gotta tackle the dash...

Rear view from inside. That's an original M38 bow assembly. Fits quite nicely, I thinks...

Inside view of passenger side...

Highlands Upholstery in North Highlands, near Sacramento, CA. They are good, but slooow! You have to keep nagging them or they'll forget the deadlines. I am happy with results though. Ran out of material for the half doors I got, so I'll use them again when the funds are available.

i just crawled this thread. probably the best lookin tj i've seen in a long time. i love the military willys, and you've done an incredible job of paying homage to one of the most historical and recognizeable vehicles of all time.

i can't wait to see more of this. great job man! keep it up!

Thanks! I appreciate those kind words. It's funny how many guys walk up and ask if it's the new J8, just because of the military theme...

Wow, now this is a refreshing build. Beats the heck out of the tube buggy stuff. And so much more original of an idea.

Keep up the good work.

WOW! Very nice! I am another who was (and still is eventually) going to do something similar. I am not going that in-depth with mine though.

On a side note, could I get some more info on your side mirrors?

Thnx
