cuder's 4.25" Zone combo lift

My son and myself did the install. We did the springs and TC drop in a day and a half. Then the next weekend we did the BL. The plan was to only run the SL and TC drop untill I needed tires. But it was getting too much vibes, so I installed the MML and BL. I took the TC drop spacers out and I still have slight vibes. I'm going to put a few washers on to drop the TC a little and see if it helps. Besides that it rides great.

This is a before shot when it had a 2" BB.

As soon as the 32" tires wear out I plan on going to 33". Then I will get bumpers and a winch.

Thanks!! He is a 15 yr old that likes to go wheelin. He sure was a huge help and was asking alot of questions. I will probably buy him another Jeep when he gets his license, maybe a CJ to restore together.

nice shiny parts :)

I decided to put the 3/4" TC drop back instead of washers after looking at the drive angles. It still has some driveline vibrations.

Also for anyone that may do a lift in the future I used this write-up from stu-offroad.com to do the alignment. It worked great and runs straight down the road with the steering wheel perfect.

Look at the second picture. I have removed the SS windshield hinges and the chrome grill inserts. My son also helped me paint the headlight bezels by sanding them and cleaning.

I was more talking about the lift parts.

The jeep definitely looks a lot better without all the chrome.

I'm finally going to get rid of the transfer case drop. I have Savvy aluminum upper adjustable control arms on the way.
I like the Zone lift, but I just don't see how anyone can do 3" springs with only the MML and not have to drop the transfer case to be vibe free.

I got the SYE installed and tomorrow I will be putting the control arms on. Now I'm going to have to save for the other arms.
The SYE was pretty easy to do, I did it with the TC on the tranny. I bought the lock ring pliers at Sears, they opened up a little over 1".

Got'er done. The Jeep is smooth as butter now, no more vibes and the skid is back where it belongs.:2thumbsup:
The Savvy aluminum control arms are definitely the way to go. I had to disconnect the swaybar to get it out of the way for opening the mounting holes out to 7/16".
I only had to turn the arms a few times to get the pinion angle to move 4 degrees, didn't need a floor jack.

I chopped my factory bumper. Also installed hooks and this grill guard on that was on the Jeep when I bought it. I don't know if I like it or not. I can say that I have never seen one on another Jeep.
