Creature Of The Wheel - My 05 Rubicon

Just picked up this beauty on Friday morning for $11,000. The stock spare and fogs had previously been stolen so I'll have to replace those. Hope it's not to hard to find a stray Moab. Build-up starts soon, more pics and updates as it unfolds.

Here she is.......

Once the hard top comes off in the next few weeks I'll be painting it black. I'm also going to paint the flares when I get some free time.

Searched autotrader, 7 states worth of craigslist, jeepforum, and ebay 4 times a day since December.

The dealer was asking $11,900. They specialize in Audi and Volkswagen and didn't realize what they had.

It's got about 99,000. Yea I know it's high, but a mint body/interior on an 05 Rubi Unlimited? I couldn't pass it up.

Edmunds lists dealer retail at $16,000 in clean condition even after the mileage adjustment. It is somewhere between clean and outstanding.

I was only looking for this specific Jeep(LJ, black, Rubi, dual top, black interior, manual) and after taking several out of state drives to look at a few with no luck I almost gave up. This turned up 13 miles from my house. It was meant to be.

Definitely. I already bought all the fluids for the whole drive train, new filters, and new plugs. Gonna get some new spark plug wires shortly and hopefully do a full tune up this week.

I couldn't stand how low the seat was compared to my 98 so today I installed some hockey puck seat risers. Might be the best under $10 mod I've ever done to a vehicle.

New front bumper to go on this week.

I didn't bother because I have a new front bumper and rear bumper/tire carrier that I got for Christmas sitting in the garage. Just waiting for some free time. I'm getting antsy after staring at them for the last 3 and a half months.
