Jay,
Where did you get your 1/4 Eleptic Springs at ? I'm going to be doing a set up similar to yours

Great looking rig...

Those springs are pretty much pieced together out of an endless pile of springs I have used in the past. There are 9 springs in each pack, and I overlapped each one about 1.5" with the exception of the main leaf, and a full length helper leaf. The main leaf is off of either an 84 or an 86 full-sized Cherokee. The helper spring is a custom made one rated for a 3/4 ton vehicle and sized to lay on top of the main leaf. The other 7 leafs are all YJ springs, some of them being stock and some of them being 4" lift springs. This setup really lets me adjust to the terrain easily and quickly. If I'm running loose hill climbs or high speed events where stability is a must, I will clamp 4 or 5 leafs together. This pretty much cuts the flex in half and makes it as stable as a regular leaf sprung Jeep. For slickrock and crawling, I move the clamp down to just the main leaf and helper leaf. The result of this is what you see in the pics!

Hope that helped...

wow, never seen a Jeep climb a tree before!

is that about as much flex as you can get from a YJ? I mean, a TJ can flex alot more, right?

YJ's (with the right modifications) with leaf-springs all around can climb a 30 degree ramp and drive right over it (that's about 6.5 feet of rise). I imagine TJ's could do it as well with the right modifications - but I haven't seen it yet - close, but not completely.

What kind of truck is that? It looks almost like an old jeep truck from the back.
