Corymonster's blue thing

Well after sitting on a pile of parts for way too long, I finally got my ***** together and put it all on. Just some before and after shots. I purchased a BB, UC springs and Bilsteins from a member (thanks Brad!) and got the Stillen brakes and Akebono upgrade from Kolak. I can't say enough about Kolak. He has outstanding customer service, super fast on email responses. Thanks Nick! Also threw some 245/75/17 Hankook Dynapro ATM's on the stock powder coated rims.

I know the pics are lame- just some before and after. But in all honesty living in the concrete jungle of SoCal I dont see too much trail action. This is also why I am just doing the BB thing. I can't justify the 3-4 inch lift that I would really like. I'll put up some trail pics when I go camping next month!

Wow I love the color of those Rogues? What color is that? My Chrome is not in the greatest shape.

Sorry, just got back to the forum after a long break. Not sure about the color, I looked at a bunch of samples. It's sort of a metallic graphite.

LED lift gate lighting

I was inspired by some similar mods I have seen here on the forum, but I wanted to add my own twist. I bought a couple trailer lights at a local truck shop, white reverse light, and a red three way.

As others have done, I took power from the rear power outlet and ran it to two switches placed just above the outlet near the back pillar of the lift gate. I ran the wires from the switch up the pillar, across the roof, through the big rubber flex-gromit thing where most of the electrical run into the lift gate. I then routed it around the glass of the lift gate.

Drilled a hole in the plastic behind each light to run the wires through. Both lights are grounded near the edge of the access hole to the license plate area.

All in all a fairly easy and cheap trick. I did however blow a fuse as I grounded out the wires during final testing. If you ever don't have power to your rear outlet, the fuse IS UNDER THE HOOD! Why all the way up there... who knows.

Enjoy.
