Figured I should put my build up on Jeepforum as well. Most of this is copied from another forum..
Well as most of you know, I finally have a Jeep with a frame. I picked up a 97 Jeep TJ with less then 57k on the clock. It came with 35's, stock CA's yet 2inch springs an spacers, ARB front w/o chromos, Dana Turdy Five rear with a detroit, Warn winch, and thats about it. It drives ok, but has terrible DS vibes around 60+. Now i get to be the one to fix it *
So I figured I would start my build with a little bit of a Frame restoration. This consists of wire-wheeling the frame, priming it, then painting it.
Started by wire-wheeling the frame:

Time for some Primer:
Now I gotta wait for the paint to dry.
I also pulled my axle shafts so i could change out the u-joints to some heavier duty ones. I was surprised to find out that the PO lied to me and that i have stock shafts in the front.

So now I have another thing to worry about!
Oh and lots of rust:
Before I pulled the axle shafts out, I figured it would be a good idea to change the diff fluid.. Well that turned out to be a lot harder than i would have thought.
Little buggers were stripped so Brian broke out his welder and we got to work:
This pictures is famous over on pirate..
Well everything looks good (although the copper line seems a little too close for comfort)
So i probably picked the hottest day to go to the PnP, but it was half off weekend and i picked up an 8.8 with discs for $117.. Not too bad. So now the 8.8 build is about to begin, just waiting for the next paycheck.
some shots I took up in Tahoe:
the finished 8.8:
 so sexy
Its been a while since ive updated this thread. Recently I put a JKS adjustable trac bar in the front on it, putting a oil pan skid on this week (thanks Justin), and i just ordered some bilstein 5100s. Got a Advanced Adapters SYE and new rear driveshaft as well as rebuilt front. No more vibes
So thats where it stands as of now.

Then a few weeks later I went back up to the Cantina for the Con event... AWESOME PEOPLE! Talked to the Genright and Metalcloack guys. Got a schooled on how the new 6pack shocks work. Awesome shocks....Then after the great tacos, it was time for wheeling. Sadly I didnt get too many pictures.. only a few from Lil Sluice and around Spider Lake Area:
our camp at the bottom of Little Sluice "The Box":

Looking east bound:

Looking from my tent towards the box:

North bound from camp:

and some random pictures:

So now the top is back on and its raining here in Reno. So my winter build plans:
-read rules for KOH stock class and see what I need to compete(I have until november to register and attempt to find a sponsor)
-build jeep according to rules (cage, rear locker, upgrade shafts, beadlocks, some more armor)

I think you're a little off. The shell on a turtle is thicker by a factor of 1.6783 while compared to the speed of a Puma, when chasing a rabbit. Therefore, if you hit a nail with a 4 lb. hammer, the thickness of the wood needs to be 4, and your grip should be on your lower regions.

That was a total waste of a perfectly good adjustable wrench.

My grandma got it for me for christmas last year. Its a costco camera. it was like 100 bucks. I just edit all my photos so they look like that.
To be honest with you, my plan is to race it next year at KOH in the stock class. Ill be putting a cage in, here in the next month or so. Gonna work on getting a fuel cell in, gonna build a rear tire carrier (swing down). Work on a Tummy tuck, and try and get a 44 or 60 up front.
