Well if any of you followed or read through my first build thread, you saw my dad and i build this 46 2a over the summer months. we've decided to build our little jeep in stages. First stage, as you may have seen, consisted of getting the jeep built and up and running/wheeling. Stage two will consist of improving our jeep off road capabilities.

Stage one specs:

Engine/Drive train:
F-Head 134 4 cyl (from cj5, bored 80 over)
T-90/D18
10 spline D44/D25 5.38 gears (D44 from early cj5)

Steering/Suspension:
Stock Ross steering
Stock leafs
1 inch lift shackles

Wheels/Tires
33/12.5/15 BFG A/T (dry cracked and worn uneven)
90's wagon wheel. (Very offset)

Misc/Acc
Jaz plastic racing seats
Cj5 roll bar
Cb radio
12 gallon plastic fuel cell
push button ignition
CJ7 bikini top
Flush mount tail lights
3B windshield

Saginaw Power steering swap. (XJ tilt column, CJ PS box)-------- Done
6 cyl YJ spring swap------------ DONE
Long travel shocks/extended shock mounts

Wheels/Tires:
35/12.5/15 BFG Mud terrain KM1------DONE
Same wheels

Frame/Body:
Semi frame boxing
Frame truss
----Rock sliders---- DONE
tranny/t-case skid-----Done
Finish and tie roll cage into frame/floor-------Done
-----Front bumper (front stinger/hood bar)----- DONE

Misc:
Sink fuel cell into frame to make room for YJ rear seat
CD player
KC Daylighter (windshield mount)

Started on the sliders today. Ran out of stock so i'll have to get some more..

Here's the Pass side slider unfinished and in bare forum.

Blending the seems and welds.

Passenger side slider is painted and mounted up.



Built the drivers side in about three hours or so. Not painted or drilled yet but fab is done.

Drivers side is done and installed. 10 bolts on each slider holding them in. held up to me 175 pounds jumping on them and they didn't fall off yet lol



I'll be ordering the roll cage kit this week along with the stinger kit to go with the front bumper i am working on.

Thanks man. I'm having second thoughts on the stinger. I don't know if I'm quite down with the look yet, I would like the functionality of it though. What do you guys think?

Here's some pics of the bumper progress. Mounts are done, will be working on shaping the bumper now and adding tow points.

Two bolts will go through bumper then through 1/4" plate welded here.

Also will be mounted directly to the frame using a couple pieces of angle.

Got the bumper shaped how i wanted it, boxed it and blended the welds. Im loving the small crawler style bumper! Can't wait for the stinger to get here so i can burn it all togather.

Oh, BTW the holes in the bumper will be gone, there just there so i can weld studs into the bumper
