City Jeep

Jeep Info:

1987 Jeep Wrangler, 4.2 L, 6 inch springs and 3 inch body, nuttered, Weber 38 dges.

Previous Work:

I bought this jeep about a year ago the previous owner gets credit for the lift and wrap. In the time that I've owned the jeeps I've changed the brakes, clutch , and countless other minor tasks which seem to eat up all my time and money. I recently got new 35x12.50 Mickey Thompson for it while 4wheelparts was having a deal.

Current Image:

Next Project:

4.0 head swap (with header and 6=8 4.0 intake), new stainless exhaust

Future Projects:

Cam, and countless other

Got home yesterday to find a package waiting for me. Looking forward to getting some time to go wrench on the jeep but it's looking like it will have to wait until after the holidays. I think I also tracked down a 4.0 L cylinder head, hopefully I can go check it out in the next few days.

Well I managed to get the carb installed I guess I still need to do some tuning and get the vacuum lines cleaned up as best I can. I'm hoping I can get over to the garage and get some more done on her this weekend but it's been so cold it's hard to motivate myself.

after:

Got a few more parts rounded up for the head swap, drake header, with a 0331 (tuppy) cylinder head, and an rt off-road valve cover. Maybe I'll be able to get that modification installed next month.

Here she is in the middle of the blizzard that just went up the east coast. Got her dug out now but it was a lot of snow.

Got the DUI distributor and fuel pressure regulator installed. The distributor isn't wired in yet but I got the relay and will probably get that installed tomorrow. I'm hoping that once I set the timing she will be good to go.

I'm betting this was probably the reason for my ignition troubles, probably have to rerun that wire.

Also got some nice new shinny battery wires for it. I like that they have the little pig tail off them to wire in the relay.

Thanks lovett86, Seems to be slow going right now but getting a little bit done here and there. Also seems that every time I get one thing done I find two more things that need to be done.
