Their not looking as nice since I have some rock rash on the wheels. In time I'm going to have to touch up the paint. But you'll still like them considering you have them too

Looking good man! Keep it up. The smaller R/C X flex joints have been problematic for me also. I've "blown" out 3 of the locking rings, and destroyed the threads the process. I finally realized I was over greasing them AND over tightening them (didn't really seem like I was but when I set them up loose they work fine). Not a huge fan of them anymore at all. I've got a rear upper that needs replaced and while I know R/C will gladly send me one..... I'm looking at some alternatives.

Ya I know what you mean. RC is good for a cheap need it now type upgrade but not permenent. The good thing is I'll be working on my 4 link soon and will be replacing the RC CA with JJ on both ends. I just need to cut those arms down to the right length when I have everything in place.

So I was doing a little bit of research on the possiblity of doing my own tube fenders as opposed to ******* over some huge money buying one and I came upon this build thread which gave my the idea to go that route instead.

That trail looks like a good time... Those DIY fenders arent a bad idea, would you want to go with flareless?

I'm thinking of having about 2" of cover from the fender. I might try to build it like Metalcloaks overlines.
