As far as I can think an alignment and a steering box skid are whats left. I did run into some DW through after the tie rod install that I didnt have after my dry run for the new Trackbar. Hopefully its just out of alignment, I'd hate to go through the check list again being so close to Moab.

Got everything aligned. I remeasured my axle just to make sure it was centered and it seemed off a bit so I made a slight adjustment but ended up having to take off the jam nut since I couldn't get the rod end to match the hole with it on. If anyone could chime in on if a jam nut will be needed. I might just get one with a smaller width to use.


I used some paracord to make sure my measurements were level and at the same points on the tire rear and front. I ended up having 67 1/16 to the middle lug and 67 in the front. Adjusted the drag link after that and everything is good to go.

Jam nut mandatory. The bit of space between the male and female threads will eventually wear until you have a loose fit. The Jam nut prevents that.

Made it safely to moab, but ran into some serious dw right when we came in . The jeep ran smoothly the while trip but sure what bump I hit to cause it but its here to stay until I fix it. I did all the dry steering checks and check both tires while having them lifted. The only thing I haven't replaced from the last time I fixed this issue were my control arms. I tried shaking them to check for loosness but their on there nice and tight.

I got the DW fixed it was from my tires wearing wrong from having alittle to much toe in when I needed some toe out instead. I swooped the rears with the worn fronts and reset the toe and I'm good to go.

Almost home I had a amazing time at moab with the jeep forum build crew. We need to do this again, it was a blast and I have a few trails I need to get knock off the list lol. I'll be sure to put the pictures I have when I get home tonight.
