So I've been holding off on doing a build thread since I haven't done anything special to my jeep compared to other builds but now that I heading in that direction here we go.

Future plans:

flat fenders (Rokmen)
modify front bumper

When I got him in 2009

I installed a front aussie locker

and lift kit RC 3.25

SS SYE

Wheeled it some more for two more years

After a few deployments and some reading on other people's builds I decided to get serious with the upgrades
Ford 8.8

35x12.5x15 goodyear MTR K

Modified the rear fenders

So the in-cab winch control mod is done. Was fairly simple once I figure out which electrical lines were what. I used extended battery cable for the winch box move and an outdoor 8ft extension cord for the new control box add-on. The extension cord has 3 16 gauge cord so it works perfectly for this job.

For my series of smittybilt XRC winch which I got in 08 had the wire match of:
RED wire- hot
YELLOW/GREEN- Out
BLUE- In

My extension cord color wire match were:
White- HOT
Black- OUT
Light Blue- IN

Tying in the additional cable for the in-cab switches.

Wiring for the switches. I readjusted the in/out locations to the right side.

In-cab control I still need to make some in/out decal plates

New location of the control box. I may change it or make a mounting bracket.

The finished look

Gotcha I'm just worried I won't get enough penetration since I've never welded 3/16 th before just the 11 gauge or thinner
Thicker stuff is easier methinks
