what makes it even funnier is the tires on the Jeep look like pure street tires, unless the mud is just filling int he treads. shows u how capable Jeeps really are!

Well when I bought it, it was ok, about 4 months later I had to change the syncros, about a year ago I changed the full clutch. To tell you the truth it works fine, sometimes it's hard to put it on 2nd, and I'm always thinking when is it gonna fail, but I believe people have put ideas in my head. I just put a lift on rig and I'm going to be putting 31"s under it, so now I have to see if my tranny can handdle it.

I personally have gone through 2 of the Peugot 5speed trannies in my 88YJ .. the first one lost 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears ... I still had first, fifth and reverse

My second BA10 (aka Peugot 5speed) almost lost its reverse gear - it ground out everytime I tried to use it.

my peugot grinds into second also.. I might be putting in a slightly modified 4.0. Should I change trannies too?
