I forgot to add before, the recovery points on the Rock Hard bumper are great. My friend was getting right next to my bumper and then going as hard as he could, so the snatch strap would yank me out... Pretty stout, I was impressed! It was a tough pull, and with me being down a hill and having only 3wd, i couldn't help a whole lot.

Aaah! A Nissan guy on Jeep Forum? World's ending, I tell you...

I still say I owe you a case of beer for your help. Oh I tried getting this guys civic out of a snowbank the other day, and had him attach the snatch strap... Didn't go as well as it did for us. Evidently it slid off his frame, and tore his bumper off!

Stupid civic. Driving is for Jeeps.

Just dropping in to thank whom ever made Doug's rear bumper for using solid recovery points. I could just imagine that D ring coming at me at 100mph. I was hitting him at about 10ft of slack, on a 20ft strap, at 15-20 mph. Got it up a snowy hill though

Hehe what he doesn't tell you is that he almost got stuck in the exact same spot the next day, and almost hit his roommate's car trying to get out!

Exactly.

I wish my IPF lights were as easy to aim as your Light Forces, I used "the official state inspection aimer" and they point into the woods

I'm telling you man, ditch the IPFails and get some real lights!

Haha good call, Keith! Name your poison, I'll be glad to get a case for each!

Between a torn rotator cuff and a whole lot of snow, I haven't had the chance to do a whole lot on the Jeep recently... Yesterday I finally got out there, with the intention of installing all the parts I have laying around, and fixing a few issues... All I ended up getting done was the Currie steering and my new tow hooks; the shoulder was just too painful to do more. Hopefully within the next few weeks I'll finally have the chance to install my compressor!

New tow hooks installed... rated for 10000 lbs, which is 2500 lbs more than the stock hooks. I plan on mounting fogs on the bumper caps, and since these sit so much lower than the stock hooks, they'll have the clearance I need.

The new components are so beefy, I love it! I made sure to use anti-sieze when I installed the tie rod ends, so now I can turn everything by hand instead of a wrench... Makes doing the alignment much easier!

Thanks for the offer. I'd love to, but I'll be leaving town Wednesday right after work, and won't be back until Sunday night. Might try to hit it sometime next week; I'd like to have it done before we go to crozet...
