Here's a pic I found on here; this guy put 33's on his XJ with no lift so he could roll it around while he was working on it... He barely cut any material off to do it, though. I have no qualms about hacking my XJ to bits, so I guess it'll work after all!

My Build

2005 TJ Sport, Light Khaki Metallic
RE 3.5" coils, OME shocks, Currie control arms, JKS track bars, JKS 1.25 BL, JKS 1 BMML, 35x12.5x15 Goodyear MT/Rs, American Racing ATX Chamber (Teflon), JB Conversions SS SYE, Tom Woods driveshaft, Savvy Gas Tank Skid, Warn 9.5ti, Viking synthetic winchline w/safety thimble, Metalcloak bumper, Metalcloak steering box skid, Savvy rear bumper, HP30 w/Aussie Locker, Barnett cover, XRF ball joints, Savvy tie rod flip, mini-skids, housing end JJ's, , Currie Steering, OME steering stabiliser, Metalcloak Tube Fenders/rear flares/rocker guards, ORO SwayLOC, Banks Stinger Exhaust, Cobra 75 WX ST with Wilson Silver Load, S-POD, Alpine/MOPAR RB1 Navigation Unit w/MOPAR iPod integration, Superlift Truspeed speedo correction, Lightforce 140 Lance driving lights, OTRATTW switch panel, Tinted UPOL Raptor Liner, Savvy Black Magic brakes, Centric rotors, Superior Evo rear shafts

TJ Flares ftw. They get you more clearance on an XJ. I would put your old ones on if you still have them.

Sold them with my fenders... I'm planning on going flareless though, because this build will almost never see the road... No flares will give better clearance than any other flare out there!

Installed my reverse lights tonight... $19 driving lights from Walmart. They're the first thing to go on the S-POD. Gotta say, it was really easy!! The lights work great, too; I can actually see behind me at night for once!

It was actually hard to notice without knowing where they are. They look very bright too.

Yeah, that's part of what I liked about it... The lights are plenty bright enough to do what I need, but not so big that they're obvious. Looking at the Jeep from the side, they look a little brighter than the headlights, but they don't reach out nearly as far.

Ive seen those lights in wally world too... almost bought them once. I had them on my stock bumper but i dont have that now. The rear bumper i have now has two "steps" on the left and right, I have been thinking about mounting my lights in there. I'll be headed to walmart tomorrow to find some...about 4" long X 1" tall should do the trick.

Sorry for the mini hijack

Sounds nice, if they're on the end, the only thing I'd worry about is that they're vulnerable to being hit... Post up some pics after you do it though!

Yeah I have thought about that and thats why i decided togo with walmart cheapos. Id rather have a $30 dollar set of lights destroyed than a $100 pair of KC's.

My other thought was to put them on the bottom side of the tail light housings.

Hmm, I'm not sure what I'd think of that spot... Post up a pic of your rear end; maybe I can think of someplace better.
