...decided to get rid of the "grip tape" on the side and replace it with these Kevlar tube covers I made. 4 layers total, non-slip texture, beat the **** out of this one with a mallet and stabbed it with a knife MANY times.....still looks good...it will work fine I think instead of grip tape.

...gonna' be a boring weekend so I am sure I will make some more things over the next few days.

Still waiting on those damn drive-shafts before I can roll again....5.3L is in AND RUNNING!

...no "trail doors" but I did manage to pop out some thick CF skins for my YJ half doors.

I would be interested in some skins. I would remove the fabric from my Bestop lowers and attach them to the frame.

...that's not a bad idea! Eventually I will pull the trigger and get tube doors and do the same.

Funny thing is I made these in hopes of avoiding repainting my doors...but after seeing that skin on there I now see the old paint underneath WILL NOT DO!!

Gotta' get that damn 5.3 running..all this composite fab work has been out of SHEER BOREDOM!!!!

...same with the scoop I made for 'er. I was sitting there looking at my "incapacitated" Jeep thinking of what can be pulled? This seemed to be the easiest to start with....of course had to give myself a few options!

...mocked up a tramp stamp template for my YJ. You can see my tailgate drops down so I had to work around the hinges. I make my real one later this week. (yes I used the trailer light harness to prop it up, lol)

..it was raining outside hence all the blotchiness and whatever...

Your projects look great! How about a how-to on one of the easier items? What's involved, materials, where to source them, etc.

Years back I did a how-to write up on another forum on powdercoating and was amazed at the number of people that started doing it as a result. It was very cool.

Not a bad idea at all. I will work on it for simple panels and post up.
