First off, thank you for your years of service. I spent 10yrs in the Army (got out in 2006)...best thing I ever did!
Your Jeep build has inspired me to open up my pockets and dig deep on my 06 Golden Eagle TJ. I have been tossing around so many different ideas, but your build thread was the foot in the butt to get me moving forward.
Good luck with all the other mods...can't wait to see what is next.

I really appreciate all of the nice things that you all are saying about my Jeep. It is very nice to know that all my work has paid off.

I demand a bump, what's the latest! I haven't forgotten about your build and I'm sure a good several others are following. Saving for a house still?

Beadlocks? They're cheap and something you never went with yet unless you snuck them in

You have two ideas right in your profile, rear locker and a cage. Since you wheel with your daughter, I say cage first. My uncle takes his 2 granddaughters all the time, and I remember what he says about that. He was out with the older one when they rolled. She got all pissed at him (for one, she said that was her Jeep) and said she is never riding with him again. Once they got it back up on its wheels she was the first one back in.
Oh yeah, that reminds me. 4 or 5 point harness to go with that cage. Then the rolls are not so bad with the restraints.

I wheel with my 4 year old son some time. I have 5 point on my corbeau's and I agree that a cage would be very very nice.

Dude, I love the NM rules..lived in Alamogordo for 5 years, 1995 to 2000. Loved it, except for the crazy truckers...
Also love your Avatar..who's the hottie?

Gotta ask what antenna that is on the driver's side. Love the look, and imagine its very functional as well. Haven't looked much, but thought of it when I saw it on yours.

First of all, I want to thank all of you for your compliments on my rig. They are much appreciated. Its good to see that my labors have paid off. I havent got to do anything to it lately other than drive it to lowes to spend money on my cabin. All funds lately have went to it and the land since I am paying for it all in cash. No bank owned home for me! Solar power, well water, and gorgeous views down in the woods is all I need
As for the antenna, it is a 102" metal whip. I put it on a quick disconnect mount and then tied paracord loop around my front drivers rollbar and then left it hanging out when I put the top on and I just hook the antenna in that loop (bent the end of the antenna into a hook shape) gives me the humvee look without the cost. Great reception and transmit distance as well. You can find one of these old school whips at about any cb store or online.
