Build Thread

Well I guess its due time I made a build thread for my Jeep. So here it is, enjoy.

STOCK

I put on a 2" spring spacer a few months after I bought the Jeep, wasn't to hard.

Then I FINALLY replaced my stock GSA tires, they honestly weren't that bad but I am glad to be rid of them. Love my new Duratracs.

Photobucket

The next few days I worked on painting a few things, lug nuts, license plate bracket, gas cap holder, etc. Working on the fender flares at the moment and should have them done by Saturday if I'm lucky.

Krylon Fusion is a mans best friend.

Will add more pictures tomorrow.

I did the front flares and then the rear flares, did about 4 coats each, keeping the flare extensions off, looks better and allows me to put rocker guards on later.

They really look much better, its not a pros job, like others have said, "Its a Jeep". So it doesn't really matter, any over-spray i could find was cleared off by using some matching body paint and then wiped clean.

I think the spacer should go on top of the spring. I would be worried that the spring is going to fall out doing it this way.

hahah yea I hate to say it, but the spacer is supposed to go on top. You take the bumpstop out, fit it in, put bumpstop back in, and then spring. That looks hella scary

Problem is, the rear spacers didn't have a hole for anything to go through like the front spacers. This is the spacer kit I used.

Ok, I forgot to snap a picture before I put the tire back on so this is the best I could get of the spacer on top. Completely removed the bumpstop and left it off, and put the spacer above that, please tell me its correct this time, its a PITA to take the shocks on and off.

EDIT: Nope, this was apparently wrong too, swapped for spacers like the front which still allows for bumpstops, as of now I am using JK rear springs and not a BB. Looking back now I should've done things much differently haha.

Got my bumper bar installed not too long ago.

It really fills in that empty space on the bumper feeling for me. Haven't decided if I want to drill some bolts into the front for added strength. In a few weeks I hope to have rocker guards installed. Baby steps...baby steps.

Got to do a little off-roading today.
After today I know what I want in upgrades.

I slipped into a rut backing up, trail ahead was just too dense with snow and a tree had falln across the road farther up, didnt have another vehicle to pull me out if I got stuck. I backed out of the rut fine without hitting anything underneath. Tummy tuck, Body lift, 33" tires, and winch are next on the list of mods. Rockers should be here in a week or two I'm hoping.

Sure thing, give me a min, and I love it, its nice and sturdy, it came a bit streched so I had to have a shop put it on. Not sure if I just got a bad one but its great now that its on.

The powder coat is peeling on the light tabs, but its not that big of a deal for me.

I have a hi-lift on the bar, it sits just above my fog lights.

The handle rests on the other light but it doesnt bounce up and down on the light, I have a piece of pipe insulation on the handle between the light.
