Just getting caught up on this build... this thing is too nice to take offroad. Killer jeep man, I know you are loving the extra room of the JK4D.

What do you need a rear AR for? That limits flex right!

I need to check with Gerald and see if the rear lines I got from him are the same length ones that come with the currie 4" kit, and If that's the case then I need to order the front lines and put them in. I'd like to have the lines done before Harlan.

They're not needed at this point. The shocks limit the travel before the lines get taught.

I'm going to have to figure out what I'm going to do about the traction control lines, I wonder if there is a wire extension kit

so i think ive decided on a direction to move towards. i think im going to put my Fox's for sale, but not actively try to sell them. ive already offered them to several people and they'd like to have them but they cant do anything till after the first of the year. thats fine with me as im not going to mount them till after that. the main decision behind this is that i really cant mount the rear Fox's like i want to - there just simply isnt enough room in the wheel well to outboard them like i had originally wanted to. i cant french the frame because the frame rail is flush with the body on the JK's, and i really dont want to go through the work to cut a hole in the wheel well and then try my hand at sheet metal work. as much as that would be the best solution, it doesnt really work for me in this time frame. plus, the way the anti-rock mounts now, really messes with the space behind the axle.

so, if they do sell im just going to do the std currie suspension with Wayne's tuned Fox IFP shocks - pretty much the exact same setup that Gerald runs on his JK - except mine is better.

otherwise, if they dont sell - by the time i get to doing the suspension i'll find a way to make them work. i may fab up a crossbar to go inbetween the frame rails at the top of the hump and run the shocks inboard (as much as i dont want to)

as far as tires and wheels go, i spent a lot of time talking with Connor, and because i dont want to be the std run of the mill 37 JK ive been pushed into the corner of picking up some cheap 17x8.5" black wheels and rid myself of these moabs. right now the fight is up against the Black Rock Yumas, Mickey Thompson Classic II Blacks and Method Race Wheel's Double Standard. i can get all 5 wheels for 500 bucks shipped. it'll set me up with a wider rim than what i have now and a little bit better backspacing for (this is the big moment) 38x14x17 MT/R Kevlars. ballin.

discuss.

here are some pictures for you guys to think about:

Looks bad ***! I like your idea of going with the 38'' Kevs.

My only question and maybe I missed it somewhere, but I thought you were going to run Currie arms?
