And ain't nothing wrong with a unibody anyway....XJs work just fine, ZJs do too, for that matter, they're just terrible to look at.

There all unibody, just unibody over frame.

Just don't under why people think a 4 runner or land rover have anymore room than a 4 dr Jeep.

The 4 runner doesn't have any more room at all, plus your jeep looks way better than any 4runner ever could.

I too am curious what a 4 runner offers that your JKUR doesn't?

Happy to hear of the new job. Obviously a good one if your willing to sacrifice the JK. Good Luck!

Not really concerned with space. The 4runner gets me a ton of creature comforts over the the jeep plus a hatch instead of swing out tail gate. I can get a v8 without having to do a swap, a legendary 2UZ-FE v8 at that.

I also get out of a car payment and a pretty steep insurance bill. My wife will actually like it (hates the jeep) and I can get her a proper car for our growing family. I havnt ruled out a 100 series or Lx470 either yet.

Creature comforts are for girls...

If you find yourself parting out the aftermarket parts. I'd be interested in the rear antirock and TL headlights.

Which reminds me....I still haven't taken my jeep off of the insurance yet...

You should be prepared to learn that whatever you're replacing it with will likely be more expensive. The wrangler is one of the cheapest vehicles to insure.

Unless you're cutting your coverage, which would just be silly.

My LJ insurance costs just as much as my 2012 F150

I'm not an expert on what the value of an 08-09 4 runner is but it bet its a lot cheaper than a $38k JKUR. I bet your insurance cuts in half. And you lose a big monthly payment.

I'll miss this build.

Tell your insurance company that your jeep
is not your daily driver. You can still keep full coverage and pay about half the price. I only pay like $70 a month on my TJ, they were gonna charge near $150 until I told them it was not my primary vehicle.

I'm only paying $75 for the LJ. My F150 is $75 also. Full coverage + glass.

Gotcha. That really isn't bad...my Honda insurance is more than my jeep. Now that's confusing.

You just killed your own logic... Your LJ was more expensive than your 2012 f150 then?

Car value has very little to do with cost of insurance when you're comparing late model cars, provided you're not comparing 6 figure to 30k.

Number of units produced, frequency of accidents, cost to repair, aftermarket support, junkyard support, etc. the JK has on several occasions been in the top ten least expensive to insure. The grand Cherokee has been up there too.

My unlimited rubicon with every option you could get was substantially less expensive than my 4cylinder Pontiac G6 was (bought new for $24k) with the same 100/300/300 coverage and smaller deductibles.

That said I dunno what the 4runner costs to insure, I just know that the Jk is less expensive than most.

Exactly my point. Different cars have different stamps by the insurance companies...the civic is driven more often by younger, less responsible drivers. Also on the road, in an accident, Honda loses to everything but smart car. Maybe that's not exactly right, but that's the basic logic.
