Hell yea I can stop now! Haha

Mojave Road? I didn't get much. Nothing that's really worth it. I'll try to get it up though.

Hey Justin,

If you havent built your rear tire carrier, I found this old pic of my fold down tire carrier before it was painted. Maybe you can find some Ideas off my build. I have hauled ***, jumped, and tortured this tire carrier and it is still silent as a mouse and sturdy as can be.

Good luck man and I hope Kevin has taught you how to weld by now.

What's up man how man you been?

No tire carrier yet, but I have an idea. Off Road Evolution has one for a JK that I'd like to copy. Tub mounted, swing out carrier that runs behind the tire to sandwich it to the tailgate (like yours does.) This is what I want it to be like, but without Johnny Joints cus that a bit overkill.

And no, I still haven't learned to weld! Haha

I just picked up a welder (lincoln 220v industrial grade) yesterday. If you ever need a welder locally let me know. I am planning on burning in the Gen right outboard shock towers in this month and It was cheaper to buy my own welder than pay what people wanted to charge me.

I have been really good. Thanks for asking, If you want to learn to weld I took two years of welding in high school. I am no pro by any means but I just picked up a welder yesterday and I remember the basics. Trial and error has worked pretty good for me.

Thats a cool bumper by the way.

I need a welder! I want to outboard the rear, possibly raise the front mounts, and straighten the rear springs. When do you have free time?

Sooo today I got new bumpstops put in. Prothane coil inserts, or the poor man's air bump. Kevin had them for the rear of his TJ, but they don't fit inside rear coils. A phone call and a few texts later and they're now on my front end. Tomorrow morning (well, in 5 hours) we leave for a 400 or so mile desert trip. I'll get some pics and videos up after and report on how they do. I'm excited!

Also got the go ahead from the GF to take the top off for this trip. 80+ degrees in the desert, should be fun!

Ahaha. That was a FUN trip!

So back to these prothane inserts. They worked GREAT. The front end is super smooth over washes and other bumps/whoops. There's no harsh slams when I bottom out on the front end. It's smooth enough to get me into trouble now :/ Now I have to do something to the rear end. The front feels great, but the back end just slams into everything. Also, the Savvy brake pads and centric premium rotors stopped me in a hurry and saved me from a couple Joshua trees and desert bushes. They lock up easily if I need to, but stop nice and quick.

The trip went great. The Jeep performed awesome, except for when I didn't see a bigass rock and slammed into it with my passenger side front tire at about 25. It hit hard enough to rip the wheel out of my hands and knock my alinement out. Good thing I have the Currie steering or that could have been baaad. Other than that, no damage or mishaps for my Jeep. I felt a lot more comfortable and confident driving it at higher speeds this time around. The girlfriend even drove it and got up to 45mph on a long sandy road! Proud of her.
