Got the truss almost 100% done, needs the bridge welded on and its good.

Scarfing tip on the torch, my buddy Sammy is cutting away.

Some real nice looking welds

His 47 Willys, and the aluminum tube fenders.

Welding on the truss

Doing it correctly. Basically he said notchig the frame for the spring perch was a poor idea, so the frame should be chopped before he hump and extended back. I don't really have the time or budget for that right now

I dont get how you would have to do all that work when alot of guys have notched the frame and have had no issues. AngryTJ notched his frame and his jeep did awesome in moab with us. I cant see there being much stress on the rear frame section to give you any major issues. I think blaine is being alittle over the top with that idea buts thats just how I see it.

That's the route I'm going, going to start this week if my frame secttion comes in. I may have enough left over for another set of inserts if you're interested. Check my thread for a photo of what I purchased for the extensions.

I appreciate that, but I have a buddy here with some extra frame sections, so when the time comes I have some cash. I think it will be a winter project. I have to buy my own welder first, I keep borrowing.........
