Went out on the trails yesterday and had a good time. Trudged thrush a couple mud holes that were deeper than I expected. In other news, with any luck I will be back in Arizona around he beginning of June. I'll be making a trip to San Diego to pick up the Jeep from the port, then a nice boring ride back to Tucson by myself.

Order gears last week, shipped on the 28th, showed up today. Very impressed with 4x4groupbuy.com. Ordered 4.56s, but I debating on sending them back in favor of some 4.88s. I might have the opportunity to pick up a hp30 here soon, so I'll have to swap for some hp gears too. I figure 4.88s with 33s won't be too bad till I can get 35s on it. My plan of separating and heading back to AZ has been put on hold in favor of taking an assignment to Nevada, so I'm pretty excited about that, and I foresee a lot of changes for the Jeep in the near future.

Doing a regear is big on my list. Let me know how you like the 4.88 with 33s

Just read through my build thread, and figured it was time for an update on everything I've done, so here we go:
Current setup
-3 inch Currie Progressive rate coils from Savvy
-Bilstein 5100 series shocks (little too short)
-Full set of Metalcloak single adjustable Durflex control arms
-Currie Antirock sway bar
-JKS rear swaybar links
-Metalcloak adjustable front track bar
-Metalcloak adjustable long travel rear track bar
-Daystar 1 inch body lift
- M.O.R.E 1 inch bombproof motor mount lift
-MB Razor 15x8 alloy wheels
-33x12.50x15 Goodyear Duratracs
-Rokmen bumpstops (uninstalled)
-G2 gears and master install kit in 4.56 ratio (uninstalled)
-Uniden 520xl CB radio w/ 3 foot Wilson flex antenna
-KC replacement fog lights
-Banks monster exhaust
-ZJ Tie rod swap
-Rancho Steering Stabalizer

Future plans
-UCF tummy tuck/engine skid
-JBC SS SYE
-CV rear DS- undecided brand
-TnT customs tire carrier
-Swag Offroad big hit rear bumper
-Metalcloak frame built front bumper
-Tube fenders- undecided brand
-Trucklite LED headlights
-Bumper mounted LED lights (pods or light bar)
-Winch- undecided brand
-Poison Spyder hood louver
-Corner armor- undecided brand
-LED taillights
-Rocker guards- undecided brand
-Frameless soft top- looking at the Bestop Trektop Nx
-Novak Tcase shifter cable
-Diff covers- undecided brand
-Currie D30 miniskids
-Currie Front end housing Johnny Joint kit
-Lockers/LSD - undecided on which
-Gas tank skid- undecided on brand
-Rokmen Drop down tailgate
-Outboard rear shocks
-Rear spring perch relocation

Seeing that list, I have a lot more work ahead of me than I realized. I'm moving to Las Vegas this summer, so I know I will be getting a lot more use out of the Jeep. I'm going to attempt to build a trailer to use for camping/road trips so that we can take our dog with us, so I will probably end up sticking to the 33s for a while. This summer is going to bring a lot of changes for me. I'm losing a lot of great friends, but I will be making many new ones. I'll get off my soapbox now, hope everyone has a great weekend.

I like your list! Looks solid! Check out my trailer build I've started. I too, like to take our two labs wheeling with us, so the trailer will be a nice addition.

Thanks bob! I've peaked at your trailer a couple times, and I like where it's going. I'm hoping to enhance my welding skills in order to build a trailer similar to yours, if not, then I'll just buy one.

Found some trucklite lord headlights on eBay for $370.00..unfortunately they won't ship to an APO address, so I. Debating between buying them and having them sent to someone in the states to hold for me, or just buying the Johnny joint kit for my front axle.

Went out on the trails Sunday, and had a pretty good time. Had an interesting event at the end of the ride, my front passenger side Antirock arm fell off. I just unbolted it and drove home with half a sway bar. Ordered a 1 inch steering riser from M.O.R.E yesterday to match my BL, and try to tighten up my steering up a little bit. Plans to do my gear swap this Saturday, hopefully it goes well.

Did you change to 4.88 gears? That's what I'm going with when I do the 8.8 I just bought. I also have a NV3550.

4.56. I bought the gears at a time when I didn't think I would go to 35s. I will be on 33s for a while, but if I ever make the jump, I think the 35s with 4.56 wouldn't be too bad. Can't be any worse than 3.73.s with 33s, right?

So, gears didn't happen. For some reason, my ring didn't touch my pinion AT ALL when we put the new ones in. It seems like the pinion is just too small. I Gota do some research and contact the place I bought the gears from.

Turns out my stock carrier won't work with my 4.56 gears because I didn't get a them cut ring. After much deliberation (and by that I mean talking to my wife) I'm gonna go ahead and get lockers when I get to Vegas this summer. I've decided to to a Detroit trutrac in the rear, and an OX up front. I will have to have them installed along with the gears somewhere, so not looking forward to paying for that also, but might as well do it all at once. Unfortunately, this will postpone the tummy tuck I had planned for this summer quite a bit now. Been looking at front bumpers, and I was gonna go with an aluminum MC base, but I'm not so sure about a 3-16" aluminum bumper holding up to the use and abuse of a winch.

I know your pain about the regear price, saving up for that myself. I have the MC aluminum bumper and an XRC8. I tried winching a stuck F250 out the other day and the bumper held up just fine.
