Well if it's just for ease of instillation then for sure get another tailgate for the front. Go for it.

Getting a pan broken at your local metal shop is cheap , and its easy to tack it into place on the tub .

This was under $30 from my local shop . I didnt get the top angle made , but that would be easy enough to have them add in . I wanted a water tight seal on the front , and I wasnt sure I could get that with the tailgate seeing all the wind and rain at speed .

Made some good progress today. A little more fin tune trimming/measuring and they will ready to weld up!

Looks like a nice cut! Have you decided on the undercarriage? I know you had mentioned the torsion axle previously.

Yep, not looking forward to welding up all that sheetmetal! I missed out on the torsion axle, so I'm still searching. If another one comes up at a steal, I'll snag it, but I could go leaf springs as well. $$ will decide which way I go. On a good note, I sold the roll bar yesterday that was on one of the tubs, so to date, I'm in to this project for $100.

Made a little progress yesterday on the trailer project. Trimmed the floor and got the tubs to mate up pretty good. Gonna haul them to my work and prep for welding.

That's what I'm hoping for. I've got a lot of prep work to go before the welding starts. The floor cuts came out better than I expected, I'm not too concerned there. It's the sides and wheel wells that will be challenging for me! I'm also on the hunt for some YJ corner blanks.
