I've got some kinks to work out. The Jeep has been neglected lately due to me spending money on firearms and ammo in light of the political S%*!storm . I am also looking to buy a new truck so the Jeep hasn't been on the top of the list. I have a bad leak in one of the radiator hoses. I am thinking the return hose from the heater/ ac core. I turned my a/c on a couple of days ago and within minutes I was spewing fluid. I tried to make it home but stopped at my cousins house down the road because it was overheating.

Damn. That what you get for putting on the ac. Is it the heater core causing the overheating?

Nope...Found a half inch slit in the upper radiator hose. That'll do it lol. Got a replacement at autozone yesterday. I'll throw the new one on this afternoon. The system is due for a flush too, so I will probably knock that out too.

You're junk is coming along nicely btw

Not a big deal at all. Should take less than 5 min lol. It's amazing that something so simple can really Eff your day up.

Just saw your post. We may be free that weekend so we'll be in touch.

Whelp, got that hose switched out over lunch today and drove the jeep back to work. It ran great and I had no leaks in the cooling system. I decided to give the whole system a flush anyways this afternoon, including the heater core. And whadaya know? The heater works great now! Just in time for the Louisiana summer

So how is that Purejeep tank treating you now? Got all the bugs worked out? $175 cheaper than the Genright is a lot, but if the thing is junk I am not interested. I know you were working through some issues and just curious if you can share your most recent thoughts on this. Sort of "if I knew then what I know now" type of stuff. Again though, $175 ain't pocket change....thanks!

The tank is fine. The tank still loses pressure when I turn the jeep off, so I have to prime it by turning the key on and off a couple of times. Otherwise it will take about 10 seconds of cranking to start. The dimension of the hole for the fuel sending unit is plain wrong and they refuse to do anything about it. I still would not recommend the tank when you compare it to the quality and customer service if Genright. I would save your pennies and do it right.
