I'm jealous man! I love the Baron. I have a buddy with a 32 Champ that he lets me fly since his medical isn't current. The biggest thing for me when I graduate is finding a darn job! I would rather not be a flight instructor up here. The instructors at our school only average about 300 hours a year thanks to Michigan winters.

I am actually glad you said this because everytime I have planned a wheeling trip while I have been on jack stands, something has gone wrong the next day.... badly. Let just wheel when we are all ready to go. This year, next year, whenever

Sounds good to me. The problem is I haven't wheeled in about a year Needless to say I am ****ing ready. The jeep is in a good place finally and Monson's isn't far off.

Well, there hasn't been anything to update. I've been trying to track down an a/c blower problem. It doesn't work on ANY settings, so I was afraid it was something besides the resistor. I replaced that anyways and that didn't fix it. I also tried to replace the fan speed switch, but it looks like the one I got is for later model tj's. And when I look online, I cannot find any matching parts for 97 and 98. I will try to swap monsonman's in and see if I can get it to work. If that doesn't, its most probably the blower motor.

Anyways, sorry for such a boring update after a few months of no updates. We have a wheeling trip to K2 in Texas planned Oct 24, so stay tuned.

Haha

I've also developed a "pop" somewhere in my front end. Monsonman and I tried to diagnose it, but we're having a hard time figuring out exactly what its coming from. With the jeep on level ground I turn the wheel slightly left and get the pop. I can turn it back to the right and get the pop at the same spot. My initial thoughts were U-joints, but it doesn't seem like that's where its coming from. Any ideas on other places to look? Is there any chance it could be from the power steering box?

Tie rod or drag link hitting something? Steering box or pitman arm damaged?

It's more of a loaded pop so I don't think its the tie rod or drag link. It reminds me of my Aussie locker. But it does it without the jeep moving so it shouldn't be the locker. I will get the front up on jack stands so I can listen with the engine off.

Here's the best I could get it. The noise DID NOT happen with the front end off the ground on jack stands. So weight on the wheels is part of it.
