blk01wj Build

Hello all, This weekend will start a journey and a shrinking of the wallet. I have been collecting parts for the past two years waiting for a start date. My 4.0 has seen better days (185K of neglected miles prior to my purchase) and it seems there no better time to get started with my project.

Mods completed already:

-OE trailer hitch and wiring
-Projector/halo head lamps and driving lights
-some interior swap from previous WJ
-changed over to LED lights

Mods to be completed:

-4.9L reman stroker: (complete build sheet to come)
-Not sure about an cold air intake yet. Had a Volant on my old wj- not sure if it actully did anything except make hard accel noisy
-Doug Throlley Headers ceramic
-Three...yes count them three high flow Cats
-Flowmaster 70
-Kolak's 3" cat back
Called Nick and asked for recomendations and he put it all toghter in a package based on my particulars.
-64mm TB
-I am sure some tuning will be required
-4" lift
-16" Raceline Wheels: Raptor
-Cooper SST's 285/75R16
-4.56's
-Grill
-Swing out tire rack.....I have seen two really cool ones on here.

Today I flushed the cooling system before I start the engine change. Neglected! I opened the petcock --- nothing! WTF???? Poked around alittle, the rusty goo and sediment in the bottom of the rad was rediculas. Anyway, flushed 3 times to get it clear.

Started the tare down today. Removed the TB. What a carbonized mess. That is as far as I got before nightfall.

I had to enlarge the intake TB plate to 64mm. I used a metal rotory file to remove the aluminum.
