Yea man. I think part of the pedal pressure may have to do with the driver front brake line. At the caliper it looks visibly loose, but I'm gonna check it this afternoon.

I say replace the caliper and get that master cylinder on there... you will be good to go!

That's what I'm thinking too, but that new master's big money haha. It'll have to wait, in the mean time I'm going to fix the swaybar and try and figure out my transmission's problems.

Got my brake lines hung pretty secure and started to cut down my sway bar end links but had to start packing. My dad and I (who get along great, and he would never admit his love for jeeps) actually got to wrench on the jeep together and for the first time on the YJ my dad actually said "man I love the way it sits now!" and "I really enjoyed working on the jeep tonight, will you leave me the keys while you're out of town so I can finish the little stuff up?". That alone makes it worth every busted knuckle, dollars spent, and curse words hissed.

Well I went to drive the jeep on my normal 50 mile commute for the first time, and lost the rear u joint. The yolk adapter seemed pretty wallered out on the side that lost the cap so I replaces that and the u joint and it seems to be running great. I got one of my two motor mounts today and will have te other one tomorrow. Before the summer is over I hope to be back on 35's, stock springs, and a new top. The top and springs are almost a guarantee within the next month, but the 35's are what I need to track down now...

Here is the reason I lost a u joint the other day. On a lighter note I successfully put 60+ miles on the jeep today without any carnage or failures!

Just got back from a week of vacation only to find out the YJ has a dry rotted gas line. It's always something! It looks like my next few projects will be motor mounts, gas lines, (my manifold sounds like its cracked) so probably a header, my floor pans, herculiner, stock springs, and a top. Ooff. And that's what I get to do on vacation, take my little cousins to an aquarium and wrestle a plastic alligator!

Although the lines still need to be replaced, the hose clamp was loose so tightening it up stopped my gas leak. Saturday is going to be a busy day hopefully! Motor Mounts to replace and should have stock springs to toss on and bring her down to a reasonable ride height and soften up the ride even more! Tomorrow it looks like I will have scored a bikini top, cab cover, and sound bar with a dome light all for $65, I call that a win

With the way my shocks are now compressed I'm afraid different length shocks or hoops are in my near future. There is about 3-4 inches of up travel which is far from what I should be getting. Today I have to get the pitman arm off the stock rig I'm swapping springs off of which Islas already proven to be a bear.

Here she is with full weight on the stock springs in the front. So much for up travel. I can't take a loss or hit on my brand new Bilsteins so shock hoops may be next on the list.

Thanks man, it's always something but it's a labor of love! Yj's usually end up with so many new parts by the time they're built that they might as well be "new."

Well the ride height turned out great with the stock springs and now I need to figure out what to do with my shocks. I am thinking hoops in the front, OR running shock tabs on the axle similar to the YJ pictured (my buddy Sean that I swapped springs with; he got lifted and I got lowered!).
