You're right! I was just thinking that because of the different panels in the rear between 67,68,and 69 it was a different gen. I've got floor pans, motor, and suspension stuff to do on the YJ then I think she'll be ready to wheel a time or two.

Well I backed the Jeep into the garage yesterday and took the Mustang out so I could knock out my boomerang shackles and new leaf spring bushings. Turns out these are not OEM springs, so OEM bushings are no good to me. fml.

About 10 phone calls and 2 hours later, I contacted the previous owner, found out they were Skyjacker leafs, and got the right part number. A big thanks to Jason at 4x4GroupBuy.com, he'll be getting much of my new part purchasing business, great to work with, and got me the best deal on the bushings I actually need!

So now the Jeep is stuck in the garage with one unbolted shackle in the front and a melted puddle of poly-bushing in front of it

Now I play the waiting game. Bushings should be here late this afternoon, or first thing tomorrow.



Oh and here's a picture of the Camaro at it's finest, the Mustang at another one of it's stages (my favorite, slammed and on Cobra Satins), and my very first car, a Probe. Let the jokes begin!

Well it's official, the YJ has been lowered 1.5" but rides better than ever. I can not BELIEVE the difference in ride quality

I didn't have much trouble changing everything out, the hardest part was just hoping the scissor jack didn't fly out and let the leaf spring pop up! Pics for Proof, Boomerang Shackles from VACJ5

Injector swap today. I have a set from a 90 5.0L Mustang, and a set from a 97 TJ 4.0L so I will plug and play to see what works best.

Well the Mustang injectors are in and I have noticed a slight hp increase and it seems to be a bit more efficient, I won't know until I run a full tank through it. Here is my most recent mod...

I couldn't honestly say. The Jeep was already cut before I put these on, I just put them on out of necessity, but I would say the way it is cut, as seen here, there is an extra 3-4" of fender opened up...? The PO "started a comp cut" and "didn't feel like finishing it," so the TJ flares fit almost perfectly, but I can say they are not flush with the cut. Let me know if you want more pictures, this just shows the cut as it was.

It is supposed to be nice all week so the top is off! Over the weekend, I managed to get my hand on a new e-fan set up, 4" flush mount led tail lights, and I cut off all the perches and shock tabs on my 8.8 in preparation for my swap!

Well I've been working a lot lately but that's good for the jeep! I broke a spring plate the other night coming off a curb (of all things...). Got it welded back together fortunately and am awaiting a new spring plate. Ordered bilstein 5100's today from Kolak too, can't wait for those. I think the hocks being very short and the spring plate being a tad rusty is what finished it off.

Yea, no wheeling till its right brotha! I just did a 2.5-4.0 throttle body swap which turned out pretty good.

From what I've read not really a power gain but provides a more responsive throttle, so a bit more airflow and a bit better acceleration! Noticeable to the guy who drives it 24/7, yes, a rocketship, no. I'm happy with the swap and noticed a little inprovement in idle and acceleration, for your TJ I think you can do it too but you have to see what you can get it from. It's like going from a 42 or so mm tb to a 58 or so mm tb. Noticeable and cheap!
