Behold! the YJ_

Bought the Jeep in Dec of 05
it was all stock besides the wheels and tires

Being so close to Xmas it didn't take long before I had bought myself some "toys"

x4 KC daylighters
x2 KC fog lights

Gibson exhaust because the stock exhaust resembled "swiss" cheese

Warrior Rocksliders

next on my list was a lift...
RE 2.5" STD

Feeling that I was ready to "wheel" I brought it up to Haspin by myself (big nono)

A/T's suck in the mud and I wasn't there for very long...

a few weeks later as I'm coming back from school I start to feel a wobble...
I come home and pop off the lug covers and find...

I also find out I have two different sets of wheels...
Jeep 5 lug

and universal 5 lug

seeing as how the lugs egg shaped the holes I was on the hunt for new wheels...

scored a deal from the local tire store and ended up with 4 American Racing Mojave's (with fancy teflon coating)

I ended up scoring a winch from my uncle...

a long weekend and a few hours in the garage with the grinder and a cutting torch the old man and I had figured out how we were going to mount this haus...

U-bolts

the mounting plate

the spacers we made out of an old snowplow blade so everything would sit flush

the final product, Operation Frankenwinch deemed a success!

it finally starts warming up and I get to go topless for a few days

into the summer I get some new shackles

I also bought myself some softdoors and a few other much needed items

such as a strap

some new speakers (which I still haven't installed

and of course a warn rear bumper and receiver...

Nice rig. It makes me miss my old YJ. I love how rough those things are.

Real nice, man. I just got a lift and was thinking about tire combos. After seeing how yours looks at even height, I think I'm gonna follow you.

Nice work. Looks good.

BTW, lots of people DD their rig on 35's. 38's would be a different story though.

Remember these words: "A Jeep is NEVER done!" I think I've told myself every year "There, finally done with the Jeep"......

My YJ has finally been moved out of the DailyDriver status - not due to tire size, but due to breaking too much last summer (axles, engine, springs, etc).

I love the ride on my 38" tires!
