Yeah, seats and rug were easy. That damn textured plastic on the dash and other places just holds on to it. Took a couple of hours a night for week.

I still haven't figured out a good way to clean that textured plastic

Those grab handles look like they would have taken awhile, they look good.

Thanks, the first took several hours, the next three less than an hour each. cost was about $20 bucks. You need 100ft of paracord of each color and you'll have leftover cord.

I based it on this youtube video I found. First layer of Cobra knots has blue across the front and black looping around back. Second layer is reversed with black across the front and blue looping around the back.

I had wet carpet on the passenger side and spent many hours trying to find and then stop the leak. I found the problem was not the aftermarket soft top or the door surrounds as I had expected. I kept putting foam all around the surround and the top but still had lots of water dripping in.

Take a look at this photo of the drivers side door seal. there a lot of complicated channels and baffles on the top seal and the door seal to keep water out. One of those channels ends right at the tip of the red arrow. the blue arrow is showing how the door seal closes under that channel.

Now for the problem side. Notice how the door seal closes over the channel instead of under it. This was allowing water to get past the door seal. The door alignment and door seals appear to be the same for both sides. Maybe the top seal is ever so slightly to the passenger side.

I installed a little foam and no more leak.

I might try to get the dealer to replace the top seal, but since I'm running after market surrounds and top I might get a hassle.

I did a little painting to continue with the Blue accent theme.

I have had the worst luck with the front left. It was the front left chromoly shaft that I broke on the LJ a few years ago.

This weekend I popped a bead on the JK and then 2 hours later broke that axle as well. Too bad I have no pictures of the event. We where at Red bird in Indiana I was attempting to climb a hill. Deep muddy ruts at the bottom, I was attempting to stay on the ridges to the side of the ruts. Back tires dropped in the rut, front drivers went 4ft in the air before it came down and bit in solid ground, pop

That bites.....I've broken one in my TJ too, but not in the same fashion, mine was in deep snow, in a ditch of all things.

Awesome. Looks like I'll finally get an answer on whether or not the '13s come with two piece inner seals.

So I really wanted RCV shafts but can't spare that kind of change now. So do I get OEM type shaft and just replace the drives side for 190 and hope they hold up until I can get RCV shafts, or go chromoly and replace both front shafts?

With the 10% off coupon I can get either Alloy or Ten Factory from NorthRidge including shipping for 585.

IMO just do the bare minimum to fix what you have until you can go RCV. The off shore made shafts aren't worth it.
