Will do! Need to buy a rear bumper/tire carrier soon. I'll def need two sets of hands for that install.

Sorry no jeep update lately. Been working on the house for weeks. Painting and unpacking and such. I did build a BA work bench last weekend.

The top is 2x6 pine. 4x4 legs. All screw holes are countersunk and plugged with oak dowel. Sanded smooth and sealed with Tung Oil. It is screwed to studs in the garage wall. This thing is pure beef. Only cost about $125 to build including the wood, hardware, and finishing materials.

That is EXACTLY what I need in my garage! Let me know if you happen to have another one of those laying around somewhere!

Did some maintenance and finally swapped my rear upper CAs for the Savvy arms I've had for months. Still need to drill the bracket holes to fit the Currie 7/16 greaseable bolts. Using the stock bolts for now.

Next up is SYE/DS and Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier.

They are awesome. So easy to install and adjust. And they flex like crazy. I still need to swap the OEM clevite bushings on the axle end up front with the JJ housing kit. I want to have JJs at all 16 joint locations.

Update time! So I got tire-d (pun intended) of my spare taking p all my cargo space... So I ordered a rear bumper/tire carrier from Dirtworx. Should be ready in a couple weeks! It has welded through d-ring tabs and an integrated class 3 hitch. It looks very stout especially for the money, and it's hand made in the USA!

Here are some stock pics of the bumper I pulled off of the eBay description.

Also, I went topless this week to take advantage of the great weather we've been having in Houston.

Up next:

The next thing on my list is a SYE and CV driveline. I'm getting fed up with the DL vibes. I'll also need rear shock extenders and a CV rear bracket for that project so it may take me a while to accumulate all the pieces. After the SYE I'll start looking at front bumpers and lighting. Then on to sliders, t-case skid, and a winch. I also want a Tuffy underseat drawer and the iPod integration kit. Just Empty Every Pocket...........yep, they're empty.

Jeep looks good. Would like to hear first impressions and updates on the bumper as you use it since I'm considering it down the road.

If you can't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them!

Thanks! Yeah I'm doing the build slowly so that I can buy top quality products. I've had to talk myself out of buying junk a few times when I've had the urge to settle. Also, taking my time has helped me avoid costly mistakes.

Yes it has been nice. Got caught in a light rain Monday but not too bad. Who cares anyway? IT'S A JEEP!

I'll probably need a hand mounting the bumper if you can find the time. I'll let you know when it's delivered.

Thanks! I plan on doing a full installation write up and review once it comes in. So far I can say that the owner of The Dirtworx, Robert, has been very responsive to email. Seems like a top notch fellow.
