We could take my boat out if we want to as well.
That would be awesome!

Well I've been really busy lately. I just moved in with a friend so I haven't had a lot of time to do much work on the Jeep.

I did change the exhaust up a little. I put a glass pack on with the muffler to make it quieter. I also bought a new down tube.

Video :-)

We'll I'm finally getting settled in at the new place.

Finally installed the front drive shaft, thanks again Dave!

Replaced the starter because it was acting up. I hate trying to push start! Lol

Then I did this :-)

.

The lady has been wanting to go to Holland, mi for awhile now so that's why I was getting the Jeep ready for a long drive. Then today she comes up to me saying we might as well go to silver lake!!!! :-) I think wheeling may be starting to rub off on her.

Great Job

Hi I discovered your thread the other day, and I am flabbergasted at the amount of work you put into this jeep. Especially since you did most of it yourself.
You really put me to shame straight up lol!! I recently started replacing all of the bumpstops around the chasis and my shocks. Well, on a nearly 20 year old jeep what a job it was doing something that would appear so simple. The shocks crumbled in my hands as I tried to get them out and I too needed to get out the blow torch. I won't even go into what a pita it was to get the bolts out of the old bumpstops. I even found one had fallen off into part of my steering mechanism. Then I had to do the brakes....... I took the back tires off and the breaks just fell off too LOL!!! Now keep in mind these were the things my mechanic told me needed doing. He gave the jeep a really good inspection and told me it is in great shape, but these were the things that needed doing pronto.
So shocks, bumpstops, and brand new breaks front and rear. Now I just gotta get that new roof.

Yup, sounds exactly like mine when I first got it lol. Good luck and I hope your Jeep build goes smoother than mine!

I really really wanted to! The sand dunes were fun but I definitely like trails more.

Everything at silver lake went decent. We drove the Jeep over 400 miles total yesterday and she did fine. The only thing that went wrong was that starter I just bought like 3 days ago, yeah it took a crap right when we got to the dunes. So for the next 5 hours I had to leave it running. No over heating or anything. The YJ ran like a champ all day! :-)

Here's some pics. I'll post one of the starter later today :-)

My favorite of the day

.

Getting ready to leave.

And my lady at the beach
