Well, the last couple days ive been trying to get a new jeep for the lady. We were going to get rid of the zj for an Lj but the dealership wouldn't go below 10,000. The LJ was a 2004 had 134,000 miles, had been in two front end collisions according to the car fax, and the transfer case wouldn't go into 4Lo, soooo i think the best thing for me to have done was walk away. I offered them 8600 but they said no go, so i did to.
hey guys havent got much done on the jeep lately but i did get some good flex shots with the new tubes. This month im working every single day so I wont have any time to work on it but im going to order the new body mounts and the monstaliner. Im going to monstaline the entire outside of the jeep. heres the flex shots, ignore the dork.
Well guys, ive had another impulsive buy. I found a RE soa kit on craigslist for 100$. Came with some crazy beastly spring perches, at least half inch thick steal! Ill take some pictures soon.
The plan it to do the front first and the back after i get the 8.8. It should look pretty good. Right now i have 2inch boom shackles and the front is about 1-1.5 inches lower then the back, sooo what ill do is leave the 2inch booms on the back, put the stock shackles on the front and after the soa the front should be slightly higher then the front. thoughts?
ok guys heres an update. Had to replace the entire section of frame were the steering box was. Kind of a pain in the but but i got it done.
Also, i bought a new set of doors on craigslist for 150$ and a new soft 8 spare rim in preparation for my new tires this week!!! It will be nice to have a full sized spare and get rid of that tire cover. Im going to get a set of 33x12.5x15 Falken Rocky Mountains ill post up pics when I get them.
ok guys, ive got a couple things done this week. Went and bought new tires...Finally!! rocky mountain falkens 33x12.5x15. There pretty nice and im happy with them. And now since I bought new tires that means I have a full size spare! The old 235 wasnt cuttin it.
I also had to make a new bikini top because the old one tore on me. I used the wrong material the first time so it stretched out every time i tightened it down and eventually it tore, so I made a trip up to joann fabrics. Got some heavy duty canvas material and it worked out great! It looks beautiful, like I bought it from the store. All i have to do now is wax it up to make it water proof.
