Yeah I found that out as well when I got my 3.5" BDS springs. Picked them up for $85 a piece at the dealer vs the website at around $100.

Got the lift done. Everything went pretty smooth. I had a problem getting the front drivers side leaf off the spring hanger so I got out the sawzall and cut the bolt.

I also learned the front long travel shocks require a shock stem eliminator.

I swapped the front axle and brake calipers at this time. I left the front drive shaft out so it did not accidentally get engaged in 4WD with the 4.10 front and 3.07 rear. Until the ford 8.8 with the 4.10 goes in.

Getting the ford 8.8 in today. I am not confident enough in my welding to do it myself so I took it to a local shop. They are only charging me about $50 more than I can buy all the parts online for. I figured for the safety of riding around on good welds it will be worth it. They are also welding up the axle tubes for me. I ordered 1" rear shackles and 1/2" front shackles from GPFabrication on eBay (based on recommendations from the site) to offset the height difference from the 8.8 being SUA. That should give me about 1/8" height difference from front to rear.

I also ordered a set of BFG KM2 35/12.50/15 and Some Black Rock or Cragar style steel wheels 15x8.

My wife got me a set of used TJ flares in excellent condition. I will be doing a little body cutting and installing those.

Got the axle done and the tires on. The springs flex great. Now I need to get the TJ flares on and do a little body cutting to make some more room.

Having some drive train noise in the front end. A little bump steer. Gets squirrely when I get on the gas and a little bit of death wobble when I hit bumps in turns. I have a drop pitman on there now. Will it correct it if I remove it and do a tie rod flip?

Drive Train issues:
Front drive shaft removed and CAD locked over so axle is engaged= It did not make any noise at all.
DS in, CAD disengaged=no noise
DS in and CAD engaged=noisy.
DS in, CAD engaged, transfer case engaged=bad vibration

Got my TJ flares on the rear today. I cut the lip off the backside with a razor knife. Put some tape on the jeep where it looked like I would be cutting. Clamped it to the jeep with vice grips. marked the tape with a pencil. Got out the jigsaw and made the cut.
It was a pretty easy mod to do.
Mounted them with self tapping screws on the bottom and zip ties at the top.

My wife put the zombie stickers on the center caps on the wheels today.

Got them off eBay $5 for 6 of them shipped. The color didn't show up good in the picture. They are black/white/lime green.

Took it in to the drive line shop this morning. My front drive shaft has had it. A little overextended and some slop in the slip shaft. My wife helped me with the video, but every time she sat the baby down she got fussy. teething.

Got some rust in my cooling system. I think there was very little antifreeze in the radiator, mainly water. I am going to flush it and see if I can get most of the rust out.
