Well after a year of searching and about a dozen jeeps driven and 3 fallen through i purchased this 97 tj sport for 5400.
specs in profile ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() as you can see i painted the rings as well the frame (well you cant see that) I put new mirrors on it and that about sums it up. lift wont come till next summer but i am verry happy to be in a jeep!!

Nice TJ. That paint looks good. You might want to check out painting your flares with Krylon Fusion-they look pretty faded.

Dejavu anyone?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nice jeep! I used Krylon fusion on my flares, just so you get an idea of how it looks if you decide to do it! But keep in mind that my flares are dirty and covered in gasoline in that picture....lol

To give you an idea on the difference of what painted flares can do to your Jeep, here's my old TJ. And to be fair, I just put newer flares on instead of painting my old ones. Although, the front flare extensions were painted, so this just shows you how some paint will make them look like new.

well I did a lot of little things over winter break no pics as my sister spilled a glass of water on my macbook but some will be up shortly as my new one has arrived, I was dying without jf!
I added the hella 500's to the front bumper I grinded down the rust on the framerails an used a rustoleum rusty metal primer and the rusty metal flat black paint. I got a rock nob and i works great, I ran a dedicated 1/8" line to my headunit so I can plug any mp3 player in. I also bedlined the gas tank skid and the hood footman loop just to be different! Up next is a top the problem with that is that I have the sunrider hardware, I cant even find a replacement skin for this! what are my options as far as a top is concerned? I am currently thinking a viking fastback top but with new upper doors and door surrounds im looking at 1050 which is alot for a highschooler that works for his money. is anyone has used door surrounds give me a pm! |
