Ya table Mesa is a fun day out for sure. He ran the two trails I've yet to venture. Those require deep gears and bigger tires but eventually I'll grow a pair and hit em

Picked up the last piece to the puzzle for getting the jeep back on the road...

New front shocks. They're an Ashland special. 25.99/ea Gabriel Pro-Gaurd. Rear shocks for a 2001 F-350 diesel. 13" travel

And for helping my buddy the other weekend...

JKS shock adapters.

Next is to drop of the jeep with the infamous Zoolander for a front alignment!

New shocks and JKS shock adapters! I call em the Ashland special... Cheap Gabriel shocks off a 99-06 F350 diesel rear shocks. 13" of travel. I'll review the ride tomorrow morning

image-1216332152.jpg

Minus the bent shock, both fronts were toast!! The fully open RE shock no longer extends by itself

image-3485143548.jpg

Next step is an alignment

I didnt know there was an f350 option, pretty sure it was a 70's 250 for the rear and 90's 150 or 250 for the front when I did it. While they work, the ride quality leaves a little to be desired

I did the research for shocks that will fit 4-5" lift with tons of travel. I'll have to post the shocks up in the shock thread.

After my short ride home, it's definitely softer than my RE. While, I have a bit more body roll but it soaks up speed bumps really well.

How did they fit? Too long, too short?

They ride about 2/3rds compressed, but so far excellent road manners. They're a little soft around corners tho.

I forgot to snag a pic this morning before I left. I'll post one up in a few hours when I get back to the new house

Plastidip'd the white doors to try out the stuff N then threw in the safari top.

Last night I had my pops "tack" in the lower ball joints. That turned into an 1" long bead bc he didn't think a tack would hold : oh well tho. I appreciate him helping me so I just bite my tongue and say thanks.
