another stock '98 TJ to fit 33's....
I posted a "build-up story" last year in the TJ section....each topic is a story with a lot of pictures describing stuff I learned. I didn't realize it should be living here in "Jeep Registry". Just figured I'd include it in this subforum where other fellas have their stories....
![]() essay 1 - my axles for swap essay 2 - my belly up skid essay 3 - my rear axle goes in essay 4 - my front high pinion dana 30 goes in essay 5 - final details and test drive I've done a few more things since these were put together....some armor, some brake work, etc.

Awesome build man. It would look even better with painted fenders.

I really love your write ups. They are one of the very best I have seen. You cover all the details and have plenty of pictures! Thanks! I'm sure they will definitely come in handy as I do more and more stuff with my Jeep. I really love the look of your rig as well

thank you for the kind words....
I'm still very enthused about the jeep, but I don't get to do much except drive it around town and an occasional ride to the local forest. Stupid LIFE and unexpected priorities... I did install some more armor, replace some axle shafts, vanco brakes up front. A few other things. I don't have any recent trail pictures though. These are a couple years old now. ![]() ![]() ![]() I didn't build it to beat it up though. Just poke around in the woods some...

Thats one good looking jeep! I had a YJ that I used for rock crawling and of course it got the snot beat out of it. 10 years later I'm older, wiser (I hope) and have moved on to the TJ that I just tool around in anymore. No crazy stuff, I've just been enjoying trail riding and trying to see just whats over the next hill. The family loves it and we look forward to each outing all week. Thanks for the updates!

Hey Steve, not sure how I missed your latest update in January but I did! Just rediscovering this thread now. Good to see that you're still into the Jeep! Any new projects on the horizon?
