Keep in mind removing ANY Federally Mandated emissions equipment is a Federal Crime and is highly frowned upon around the forums. Don't bring your crap like this into my thread

Depending on where you're from it can be a serious issue. In my home state it's completely unenforced.

Not crap, seriously inhibiting to power and economy. Past the mechanics of it all, my state doesn't care one bit and doesn't enforce on older cars. Most muffler shops won't even ask on an old car, they just won't put one on.

I won't mention it again though, not here to ruffle feathers. But hey man, if you don't want to know about potentially illegal activities, I'll make sure not to disclose any details of my last trip to Vegas haha

Cheers to that! My jeep wouldn't come even close to passing smog OR inspection like many east coast states have! Not that it isn't safe, but with tire coverage laws and BS like that, nooo way haha. Step 2 was to throw the trac bars and sway bar into the dumpster where they belong! I hardly noticed a difference they were even gone with lead springs and solid axles!

This isn't an issue we are going to discuss in my thread, take it somewhere else please

Do you know if the pcm is compatible with either the ax15 or the nv3500? I've been digging for the answer to this question all over the interwebs.
Hoping to swap a terminator ax15 behind my 5.9 zj.
I don't know if the question has been answered to your liking, the simplest way I could put it for you is that you need a PCM from a vehicle with a manual transmission, that's it.

The computer doesn't know, or care what transmission is behind the engine if it's a manual. Automatics? I don't know, that's somewhat uncharted waters for me.

Awesome, thank you. Most of the automotive things I am learning are coming from sites like these and just tearing into my own jeep, other than that I'm green. I was starting to come to that conclusion myself while researching, but this just confirms it even more.

As for your headers. On my 5.9 I am running the factory headers with no clearance issues at all. Smog legal in CA. All my donor parts came off a 96 Ram 2500 if that helps. Actually running the entire factory truck exhaust til just past the Cat where I shortened it and put my muffler on. I am OBDII and completely smog legal in CA. Just about everything from the truck swapped onto my rig with little issue although I did a few things different like keep the truck harness and adapt my light wiring to it and make a custom dash with the truck gauge cluster.

Nice. I however won't be so fortunate. Going to have to install shorty headers and custom y-pipe for fitment.

Hey quick question for you, how has the ax15 held up to the 5.9 liter? The guys over in the ZJ forum say it's too weak for that motor. Also, what did you do for your starter?

No problem!

Almost all of the stuff I've learned about my Jeep was from this forum. When I first got my Jeep, I wouldn't have known what to do if my muffler bracket broke. Now I'm balls deep in a V8 swap, swapping and building axles, body work, roll cage, all kinds of stuff.
