been working on my side project to make room in the garage for my axle swap. Here is my expedition off road trailer I've been making, she is in primer right now, a nice custom color scheme is in her future.....

Awesome man. I meant to ask you about the lift you have under her. Whats the size exactly? I have a set of flat flares on my MJ I was thinking of transferring over with a small lift. Keeping both rigs as low as possible. Love the XJ man and as always, props to you!

Scratch that. Its a 3" lol. Have you had any rubbing with the 33's under the flat flares? Ive got some 32" Toyo AT's on a set of black AEV Savegre wheels I want to put under mine. Ultimate goal is 4.5" and 35's

there is only a slight rub along the pinch welds in the rear of the wheel well at full turn. I do have 3.75 backspacing on 10" wide rims so this prolly a reason for the rubbing. all it really needs is to be folded back. I'm still running stock control arms for the time being so when I upgrade (soon) it should push the wheel forward and no rubbing. With these flares and 4.5" lift i don't think you would have any trouble going to 35's. that was my original plan for when I had my Comanche. I researched it a lot and found it wouldn't rub much if any. Good luck! Can't wait to see how it looks!

Haven't made much head-way on the axles, been finishing my expedition trailer. However I will be diving head first into the axles this week. Here is the trailer finished!

I haven't updated in a while, been extremely busy with projects. I have finished the 8.8 rear axle swap. It went pretty smoothly. Having the 4.10 gears and disc brakes has made a huge difference. I have to start the front Dana 30 this week. I also had to address not having a spare tire on board. I was not about to fork out hundreds for a swing away bumper, so I spent $60 on materials and used what I had laying around to make a fold down hitch receiver that also doubles as my receiver so I don't lose my hitch.

I just made that up out of cardboard, it's the design I'm hoping to go with as long as clearance to my oil pan allows. I will be making it myself

did some more welding tonight but ran out of metal. I found a few troubling spots that I am going to have to address and reinforce. Some rot had eaten away my lower control arm mounts.
