well didnt end up gettin that tj, my bro didnt have enough money, but we're still probably gonna sell the cherokee in the next few months just takin up space and money right now. He's got his own pick-up he's been using for offroading and doesn't want to beat up the xj, plus my dad wants to get rid of a few cars so he can buy my mom a new one finally. Here's a recent pic from my trip to uwharrie a few weeks ago, didnt get many pics but heres an updated one that shows the rockers

and the next project on the chopping block is gonna be converting this parts car to 4x4 for beach cruising and possibly a tow rig
by hopefully getting the body put on this trucks frame and running gear

yeah its a 86, i know what you mean, but that pic is the good side of it and its got a bunch of dents, the other side cab corner is rotted out and all the fenders have some rust, its not too far gone but we'd rather put the time and money into the body of the 56 pontiac, then we can go to car shows w/ our 2dr classic one in orig condition, and the 4door 4x4. Also we got the truck for $1k and after my bro has his fun playin with it off-road and the body is FUBAR'd, then we'll be doin the swap EDIT oh yeah and its got the factory rear gov-lock auto locker, basically like a Detroit from the factory
and heres a pic of him havin some fun in the mud with it
it was kinda a tough decision whether to fix it up when we first got it and then sell it but my bro decided since he couldnt find another one for that price in that good of mechanical shap then that'd be the one for him so he could have reliability, and we all know that eventually the body will be mostly shot, if not will be parted out as to not let it go to waste
here's a pic of our 2door thats decked out with all the factory options less the power windows and seats (which actually were options way back then) oh and it only has 29K orig miles

careful, with talk of super duties something starts happening in my pants !
and for the rockers i actually painted them myself, my dad used to do body work and we have a bunch of painting stuff so we went to the paint shop and got a quart of paint by giving them the color code and then set them on a table in the back yard and sprayed them

ooh really yea i love superduties myself, i have a few that i collect in diecast none the less. lol. im also all about Baldwin Motion Corvettes and Camaros that were built by joel rosen and fewer than the Yenkos that still reside. these had the 454's and 427 bored out to make well over 400 horse and some camaros were stock putting out near 600 ponies with the phase 3 package.. I mean if u can beat that i dk lol. anyway i just got a little carried away once again i love raw muscle idk if u ever heard of it though...great car history if u can ever have free time do a research on him.

well since we are on the topic of muscle here's a few of my car that i've had since i was 15, a 1972 lemans 350-4 TH-350 auto w/ B&M shift kit
and hopefully with in the next year or so i'm going to repaint it in Daytona Sunset orange metallic That comes on the new corvettes

and if you want heres a link to some pics of some of the other cars we've had/still have
the green one is a 1972 buick skylark 350-2we've been restoring thats my bro's, the white is a 1972 olds cutlass 350-2 originall was for me w/ 95k Orig miles but my dad knew i wanted a 2dr to have a true muscle car so we got the lemans, and the red is a 1968 chevelle 305-2 w/ power glide and that thing had so much damn rust, no floors and holes in the frame, we had to sell it but even so we still got 2500 for it

Was that red XJ parked behind Cypress Ponds apartments for a while? I remember driving by one that looked just like it, and it was completely full of mud and water...it was disgusting lol

my bro picked up a new cherokee last weekend, were gonna try to sell/trade it for a car hauler trailer but we are thinking about making it our new beater, its a 1996 4cyl 5spd with 191k miles and got it for 350, runs and drives great only has a slight lifter tap and has never been off road, plans so far are -keep it cheap lol, trim fenders, 2" bb-$50, homemade snorkel-$30, and 32" swamper SSR's-$0(already have)

alright got some plans in the works. First up my brother just purchased a used bumper backbone system for the 97 xj just like this below. And so far my bro cut the fenders on the 96xj and put on the swampers and put a temporary snorkel on it. Eventually we plan to pull the 4.10 axles out of the 96 4banger and put them under the 97 and also swap over the 97's 29 spline shafts and possibly an auto locker, and probably swap the 3.55 axles to under the 96 and use it for a beater for awhile then sell it eventually.

Thats a badass looking bumper....and swapping the 96 axles to the 97 sounds like a great plan

is your tj a 2.5? or did you take the 4.0L sticker off
