Im in need of a SYE & CV DRIVESHAFT ( my rear shaft is making all sorts of noise )

Is the advance adapters the best game in town? how hard is the install? easier to take the transfercase out and do it on a work bench? or under the jeep ?

I already have a set of rear adjustable control arms in the garage somewhere, teraflex i think they are.

Also at that time i want to do a belly up/tummy tuck.

Reallly dont want to spend 600 dollars on a peice of flat steel, i think i want to go ahead and buy a welder and get some steel and make it myself. Cant be that hard cutting out a piece of 1/4 steel to size, drill holes in right spot and install.

thoughts?

It shouldnt be hard if you know how to weld thick steel. Though im sure there is some kind of thing to it, that makes it hard thats why it so expensive but im not sure.

But just looking at them it should be easy.

1/4" isn't thick steel, welding 1"+ is thick steel. Steel isn't thick until you have to do multiple filet welds.

I'm thinking about doing this as well Alec, I am also planning on getting a KOZ cage within the next motnh or two hopefully. The main thing that has stopped me from doing a flat skid is the exhaust routing, and the lack of body lift that I have.

Throwing a 1" body lift on is no big deal IMO, i dont think it looks bad at all.

I just noticed rokmen is coming out with a 97-02 tummy tuck for like 350 or so... Hopefully savvy comes out with something with a good price, I might hold out to see what savvy does if anything.

Though, I am eyeballing a used np231 with SYE & Teralow 4:1 Kit already installed.

like the jeep, have you had to upgrade your lil 4 banger? it would seem w/ all the mods and bigger tires you will lose lots of power...i have a 2.5 as well and have been struggling w/ the idea of putting mods first or go w/ a bigger engine first....
