yeh and them damn 33's look smaller and smaller everytime i look at it..

wish i could get 35's or bigger, but i KNOW the puny 2.5L engine wont turn them 65MPH on the hwy.

wish i had me a trailer, then i'd put like 37s on it.

would wind up costing me wayy to much money in the end.

the 8.8 in the back could go that low, but the front d30 can only go to 4.88

im currently geared 4.56, not going to bother going from 4.56 to 4.88.

in order to go to 5.13s or something i'd need a new front axle... like a front DANA 44

Hey man, just realized it was you I was wheeling with at RC on Saturday. I was in the green TJ leading the group on 13. After you guys left, Tim damn near flopped over. I managed to somehow get some tiny pebbles in between the bead of my wheel, got most of them out but above 20psi it wouldn't hold air so I had to limp home on my spare tire. Gotta get that re-mounted and cleaned up.

Good day all in all, keep in touch man. Don't forget about Big Dogs Sept 18-20th!

Trimmed my stock fenders, and fender flares today. They dont look to shabby, though them 33's are looking smaller and smaller arent they?

Also put in some alum. rivets through the plastic flare to give it some more strength since i did chop some of the lower half of it off.

Also thinking about using my last bottle of RAPTOR to coat the entire front fender and flare, rear fender flares and maybe the grill

watcha think?

also, where do you guys get that little plastic thing that will cover the metal edge of the fender? i checked ace and home depot and didnt find it.

Brainstorming building a custom drawer/box in the back trunk space for storing all my crap permanently for the trail.

Will have a drawer that will slide out with diveders and organizers for crap,

in box behind driver seat side will have built in sub box for my 10" sub

& behind pass side will have a small " cubby " for storing items like winch remote, flashlight, knife, etc.

here are some rough sketches, going to go take some measurments now.

thinking about raptor lining the entire box once done( outside ) and some sort of wood sealer on the inside. drawer.

that or some sort of carpet or fabric like used on sub boxes.

comments? thoughts?

thinking of maybe picking up a smaller 8" sub and having it on the back end of the box pointing toward the driver seat to maximize space.

any idea what the smallest " box " would be to get some bass out of it.

i figure the sub is going to be at least 4-5" deep already with the magnet, each additional inch takes away from the length of the drawer.

measurments:

32" long ( leaving some space on the trunk end for handle , etc )

35" wide ( leaving 1/2 on each side wheel well to wheel well )

and 16" tall

those measurments for the over all " box "

the drawer, obviously will be smaller because of the 3/4 ply & how much space i actually need for the sliders on each side.
