I'm picking up a waggy Dana 44 this weekend to replace the Dana 30 that has the disconnect housing, even though it has a full piece chromoly shaft the housing is a weak link, rather than spend money on another Dana 30 I figured ill be just as well off or better off with a waggy 44

My buddy used a waggy 44 on his YJ with SOA.

What's your plans for steering?

i had off work today, since we started working 4 10's.. so off to the garage i went, got sterners 5.9 zj buttoned up and out of the garage. then i brought down the comanche and put in the 6" coils, and i used the 12" travel bilstiens up front... then i tore into the rear, the spring over axle conversion went well but i still have to finish weld the spring perches, mock up shock mounts, and re-route the brake lines. i ended up going with a JKS bomerang shackle (stock height for an mj) and the 3" alcan spring pack, which it is apparent that i need to remove 2 or 3 springs from the pack, the rear sits 2.5" higher than the front making it 8.5"

it flexes so much better with the new shocks, now the drag link is my only limitation. in these pics the driverside shock has 4" of more down travel available, and the passenger side has 0" of up travel. i am going to need to work with the suspension, maybe rebuild the upper shock mounts, and install bump stops.

Yea man me too. You got my number. Just give me a shout whenever you guys head out. Hey how much do junkyards up your way usually charge for d30 axle shafts? I got a couple buddies down here looking to get their hands on some spares but the yards down here charge$30-40 per shaft which i think is crap.
