I read your thread and I was thinking back to an 87 TBI pick up I bought a few years ago for short money. The guy had gone through it replacing parts because it was doing the same thing as yours. I ended up pulling the heads and running them through the machine shop to check for cracks but it turned out to be a bad dizzy. I hope this reply might help someone else in your same situation.
