Nice job man! I've really enjoyed reading this thread. Props on the welding and axle swaps.

So far I am loving the 35's. Minus the fact I am still rocking the dana 35 and that I am a giant turd.It is also my only mode of transportation at the moment. I also need to extend my bump stops as I rub like no ones business.

Thanks man!

Also looking to add more to my cage does anyone have any good ideas or links?

With starting to do harder stuff I want to feel a little safer not that the stock one is weak I just want reassurance.

Got the frame of my Roll cage rack built! Will get pics tomorrow, I also ordered a Rampage cab top soft top today. I am hoping it works well and will be good for wheeling and better quality than best top provides.

when you gonna get the 8.8 thrown under there man. I'm curious on how hard that is and the amount of welding work involved.

I've also been looking for a decent cage to put in but am really only impressed with the weld in cage models. I need to practice my welding skills, it's been a few years since I've done anything "structural"

I am going to be doing a cage myself around the same time I go soa next spring aka tax and work bonus time hahaha! I am kind of leaning towards a complete cage life the one genright off road sells it pricey 1400 bucks but it is complete and replaces the entire roll bar and makes more a cage, and yeah when are you getting that 8.8 in haha? If lived closer I would leaned a hand but I am up in the san jaun island

I dont think the swap is going to be very hard lol All I really need to get done is the gear change (been way too cheap) and then the swap will get done.

Right now I'm replacing the clutch on my "daily driver" that hasnt been driven in over 4 months. Hopefully once thats done Ill actually be able to deliver the axles without need to use my jeep and get the jeep ripped apart and not need to drive it.

I really wanna just make the cage connect to the floor and connect to the frame and a windshield bars with added supports. Need to hook my welder up to some gas! I am way to cheap to spend that much on a cage! If I had to do it again I would probably do a SOA lift too...

http://www.swracecars.com/Files/Page...%20catalog.pdf Here is a link to a roll cage conversion kit for TJs and YJs.
Considering you have access to a welder, this could be a fun project. and it's relatively cheap for the added protection.

I have also been looking at going with the blue torch fab front sport cage kit as well! I thing the only thing I would add to it would be some grab handles up it the corners of it! http://www.bluetorchfab.com/Product/...-Cage-Kit.aspx

I like this. At least it will keep the windshield from landing in your lap. I need to drag out my welding setup as well. I have the Lincoln 175 with the argon gas. What do you guys plan to use?

Just saw your post on my build thread, as you problably noticed I havent been on JF in a while, to answer your question I have been very happy with the half cap soft top. It is made my rampage products, It is pretty water tight when installed right. Dont get me wrong you do end up with a little inside if it pours really bad but its a jeep so it doesnt bother me. I ran it all of last year when I bought it up untill the fall when I switched the full softop back on.

I just put it back on friday night for the first time this year because I went on a run yesterday and did not want to damage my full top.

Your jeep is looking good!

Thanks man your jeep pretty bad *** as well! I bought one and ive been rocking it for about three weeks now, I like its pretty bad *** and I cant wait to go wheeling with it so I dont mess up my best top. The rain barely gets in if I let it puddle on the tonneau cover. Its all good im on and off JF frequently as well
