ABCs YJ build

Well I really got hooked on jeeps since my Cherokee. I bought a ZJ for a steal then started saving for a lift and came across this YJ. All stock been in a little fender bender but ran great and interior was way cleaner than I excpected. I had always wanted a Wrangler so I bought it and sold the Zj the next day.

Its got the 2.5L low output with a AX5

Heres how I bought it: I have the fender in my garage just need to paint it..

Also got rid of all the chrome crap on the headlights and bumper

Heres how she sat after the lift did a RC 4" lift:

Added some windshield lights and some 33" BFGs, Still working on painting the fender. As you can tell someone cut into the soft top at one time. Figure keep an eye on craigslist for new door tops or some full doors

Just got back from a wheeling trip heres a few pictures, it was a blast!

I just wish I could have taken more pictures and gotten my go pro to work

All stock YJ had a few issues but not bad for stock

Looks goofy but this thing is a beast fully locked with a dana 44

Fresh lift and did great on bald 31s

Picture of the whole group

If your GoPro doesn't work, try going into the settings and finding the "Format SD card option". My video was cutting out after about 5 minutes of recording but the red light stayed on, this fixed it.

Or, go to the GoPro website, go to Support, and then fill out the Support/Contact Form at the bottom of the page. I did that and within 24 hours I got a personal email from a support guy and we emailed back and forth three or four times. He was super friendly and helpful.

Ya I figured I was going to call them, my battery just wont hold a charge. I hear its a common problem. The sad thing is ive only used it twice and both times I was driving back roads in my Datsun.

what your Jeep needs is some front tow hooks.

Thats the biggest reason I bought these bumpers I felt totally screwed if I were to get stuck.

I also had to pull a friend up a trail at Browns camp and had to use my bumperette and ended up bending it a little. No big deal though since it was getting replaced anyway..

The stupid part about getting the rear bumper on was the fact that someone welded the tow hitch on the back.

Welds:

Front bumpers:

Rear bumper:

Did a test fit on my tire carrier while I was putting my front Boomerang Shackles on.

Tomorrow I will hopefully get some pictures of my new Booms tomorrow!

Went wheeling yesterday and had a blast! This was the biggest group I have ever wheeled with and will hopefully go again in the not so distant future. Wish I could have stayed longer but I had to go to work. I forgot my camera these are the two pics I got from people may have more tomorrow.

I finally got to working on my fender here's a coat of primer

Laying down a little color after a couple coats of primer and wet sanding

Fender is officially finished. Didn't turn out as well as would have liked but hey its going on a jeep that I take off road. will get pics up of it as soon as its on

Started to a little project to make the original spare tire stop into a Radio and CB antenna mount. Used 16 gauge steel you can buy at any hardware store. Got to use my new welder!

Laid a coat of spray on bed liner on it when I finished grinding now its drying and will get pics of that on soon!

Heres my 125 dollar purchase

Now I have started pulling apart newly purchased front dana 30 and heres the reason I bought it!

Heres the gears that it had too! like new! Since ive already got 4.10s my buddy with a Cherokee wants the gears.
